Stampin’ Up! Vine Design Congratulations with Video Tutorial

Happy Sunday, y’all!  This is a three-day, right?  I realized that yesterday when I saw a commercial for a sale for the three-day weekend.  When you’re retired – Monday is Monday is Monday!!  But – if you’re NOT retired, then I hope that you get tomorrow off!  And get to do something fun like…NOT get up and go to work!

If you were able to join me for my Facebook live yesterday, I appreciate you spending part of your long-weekend with me!  If not, here’s the replay!

The card I did is what is – for me! – a clean card – albeit a layered one!  You know that’s not my wheelhouse but I tried to do something a little different!  Didn’t even add a rhinestone.  Or the tiniest piece of ribbon!  I used the new Vine Design bundle, a couple of awesome die sets and…well – ink and cardstock!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Global Design Project sketch.

And the colors are from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a piece of Basic White that I matted on Granny Apple Green and again on Pacific Point cardstock to create the card front.

Next, I cut a piece of Basic White with a Stitched Rectangle Die, then I ran it back thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with a Stitched With Whimsy die right in the middle!  That made for a really interesting stitched design!

I popped the die cut panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the rectangular die in the Flowering Vine die set (bundled with the Vine Design stamp set), I cut another piece of Basic White – then used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the popped up panel.

I stamped the Vine Design frame image in Granny Apple Green on Basic White.  In the middle, I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo.  Then I cut it with the matching die in the Flowering Vine set.  I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and….the card front was done!

Now – to be fair – I was on a ZOOM the Craftroom with some folks – and they helped me to step away from the card.  Leave well enough alone.  Put.  The.  Rhinestones.  DOWN!

It was hard!

On the inside, I stamped the vine image from Vine Design in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. I added some sweet little flowers in Melon Mambo to finish it off!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green and Pacific Point mat and then into my Thick Basic White card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Vine Design vines and flowers on the front…

…and some Pacific Point paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.  Hint:  this design is in the NEW DSP packs – that will come out in the summer in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog (AND that you can get for FREE when you join Stampin’ Up! during Sale-A-Bration!).

Et Voila!  I really like this Vine Design bundle – it’s always cool when you get sentiments AND a frame that work together – especially when there is ALSO a die to cut it out easy peasy!  Add in the gorgeous detailed dies – in THREE shapes! – and you’re talking a winning combination!

I hope you like!

If you’d like to recreate these cards, all the products and card cuts are listed below!

Finn Fan Fix

Our little terrorist – Katie – had to go to her doctor on Friday.  She was having trouble in the litter box, if you catch my drift.

She hates – hateshateshates – riding in the car.  If the final destination was a wide open field planted panther-ear deep in catnip, populated by 2-legged mice that even old panthers could catch – with fresh salmon to nibble on whenever she wanted it – she would STILL hatehatehate riding in the car.

Turns out she’s got a bacterial infection – so…a couple of injections and some…wipes.

Huh?  Wipes?  And you’d like me to wipe her….there?  Oh – only once a day.  Well – then THAT’S easy enough.

She looks like she’s REALLY going to be receptive to the wipes.

Not.

Finn?  He be like…wipemewipemewipeme!!

  1. Poor Katie! The indignity of it all!
Lovely card. Actually caught you live this time. Know what? I had completely overlooked those dies. Don’t ask me how that happened, because I have no idea! Gotta get them! Thanks for the lesson.

    • stampsnlingers

They ARE gorgeous, for sure! Thanks so much, Julie. And yes – she’s really not on board….

  2. So pretty! Love the clean design, perfectly layered! Poor kitty, glad that you were able to corral her for the trip…and wipes??? Well, good luck with that! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

I know. Might as well have told me to give her three pills a day. 🙁 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  3. I have this bundle so I can create your card! I’ll be watching the replay! I hope you have lots of gloves to go with those wipes! Hope the infection clears up quickly. We are fortunate that Chester enjoys riding because he always gets to go to NC! It’s getting him in the carrier that is difficult.

    • stampsnlingers

That’s a good thing – I’ve had cats that like to ride and it’s wonderful. 😉 Thanks, Karen – happy creating! 🙂

  4. ELIZABETH DIANNE RAY

Too, too funny today. Good luck getting to wipe her the second time. The first time you MIGHT be successful…but that second time will be a doozie.

    • stampsnlingers

You got that spot on, Dianne! Second time’s a doozy! 😉 Thanks!
