Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which – for this past year – has meant I’d be bringing you a new challenge from The Paper Players.  But…sadly!…my time with them as a Guest Designer has come to an end!  I so enjoyed the year working with that great –  and talented! – group of ladies!  And I very much appreciated the opportunity to participate.  I’ll for sure be playing along with Paper Player challenges in the future – and I hope y’all will, too! 🙂

I wanted to give you another little look at some new goodies from the Jan – Jun 2021 Mini Catalog – we’re like…only 2 1/2 weeks away from it going live!!  So…I pulled out the fun You Are Amazing stamp set (which coordinates with a fun Project Kit called…uhm….You Are Amazing!).  And I added some new paper….it’s part of the cool Joining Special that will go in effect when Sale-A-Bration starts!!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge – I just tipped it up on end.

And the color palette is from this week’s Fab Friday challenge.

I started with some new Shaded Spruce paper from the 2021-2022 Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP and matted it on Blushing Bride for the card front.  THIS – this is the joining special paper!!  Yes – join during Sale-A-Bration (5 Jan – 28 Feb 21) and, in addition to your awesome Starter Kit – you’ll get FIVE packs of paper – that’s 200 sheets of DSP.  FREE!!  And it’s in the new Color Collection patterns that will be in effect in the next Annual Catalog.

More deets will follow as we get closer – but….it’s a great deal, y’all!

I took a smaller panel of Blushing Bride and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut a piece of Whisper White – and then ran it thru my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with a new….drum rollllll…..Stitched With Whimsy Die!!  Yep – my new fave thing.  I’ve wanted a die like this for a while – it’s stitching AND doodling all wrapped up in one!!

I placed the panel into my Stamparatus and used the Marker-to-Rubber coloring technique to ink the stamp.  I used my Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Seaside Spray markers to color the various words – and the fluer-de-doo – and then stamped as many times as it took to get the image as dark as I wanted it!

When I had it all good – I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

And then I hemmed and hawed about adding a this, that or the other and decided…with what I feel was iron willpower!….to just…not!  So – the card front was done! 😉

On the inside, I ran another – larger – Whisper White panel thru the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Stitched With Whimsy die in place.  Then I placed it into the Stamparatus and colored a second You Are Amazing sentiment with my Stampin’ Write Markers in Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz.  I decided a little sumpin-sumpin would be good – so…I did the same with the stars stamp – using Blushing Bride and Seaside Spray Markers.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into my Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the You Are Amazing stars image on the front…

…and another bit of the new 2021-2022 Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Clean and simple isn’t really my jam – but…I love how this turned out!  The You Are Amazing stamp set has big, bold and beautiful sentiments ready to do the work for you on your projects!  And – you’ll want to buy it with the You Are Amazing Project Kit, too!
