Stampin’ Up! Hallows Magic In This Night Halloween Cat with Video Tutorial

Hey y’all – happy Monday!  This is Send A Card Week – the follow-on to World Card Making Day. Now that you spent a day (weekend?) making them….it’s time to send them!  Send them off with a wing and a wish and brighten someone’s day!

Speaking of World Card Making Day – if you hung around all day on Saturday, then you might have seen the video for my card today! (thank you!)  If not, but you’d like to check it out on YouTube, here ’tis!

This is an oh-so-not-spooky Halloween card that uses the Hallows Night Magic stamp set with some Magic In This Night DSP.  And – since I was apparently in “punch” mode on Saturday, I pulled out my beloved Cat Punch, too!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

And the color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a Basic Black cardstock panel and embossed it in the uber-cool Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder, then adhered it to the front of my Cajun Craze card base with Liquid Glue.

I cut two pieces of Magic In This Night DSP and adhered them to a Pumpkin Pie mat with Liquid Glue.  Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the largest circle Stitched Shapes Die, I cut a Very Vanilla and a Cajun Craze circle.  From the middle of the Very Vanilla circle, I punched the cat with my Cat Punch.  That was the Department of Redundancy Department – sorry!

I popped the punched circle right over top of the Cajun Craze circle with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I adhered it all with Liquid Glue to a Pumpkin Pie mat that I’d cut with the largest of the scallop-edge dies in the Layering Circles Dies set.

I used more Liquid Glue to adhere the circle to the card front – letting it hang over the edge of the matted DSP panel.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Hallows Night Magic sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on Very Vanilla and cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

I adhered the sentiment with Liquid Glue on the left side and double-stacked Black Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right side – making sure it also hung off the edge of the matted panel.

A single Iridescent Pearl finished off the card front!

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to stamp a second Hallows Magic Night sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I adhered another Cajun Craze cat punch in the corner with Liquid Glue – and trimmed the excess with my Paper Snips.  Then I added another of the pretty Iridescent Pearls!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pumpkin Pie mat and into the Cajun Craze card base and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a cat punch on the front.  I adhered a piece of Cajun Craze to an Adhesive Sheet – punched the cat – and then stuck the resulting cat “sticker” right to the front of the envelope…

…then I added more of the Magic In This Night DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love that Cat Punch in any situation you can think of for him or her, don’t you?  But…it’s PERFECT at Halloween, especially paired up with the Hallows Night Magic stamp set!

And the Magic In This Night DSP is so elegantly spooky!
