Stampin’ UP! Masculine Waterside Arches Retreat Birthday Card

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well.  It’s been rainy and dreary here – Cady loves it – she’s been standing out in the rain just enjoying the cool!

I’ve got a birthday card to share with you today – and it’s great for the guys in your life!  And that’s especially appropriate TODAY – because…today is Finn’s birthday! 🙂  He’s not really a fisherman but he DOES like to swim so…the Relaxing Waterside bundle and Waterside Retreat DSP were a perfect fit!  Take a look-see:

I pulled some ideas from this week’s Festive Friday Inspo List. I have Masculine Colors, Metallic Embellishments and Patterned Paper.

I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Waterside Retreat DSP on a Mossy Meadow mat.

From a piece of the Waterside Retreat DSP – I used the third-from-largest Everyday Arches die to cut out part of the little “scene”.

I used the next largest Everyday Arches Die to cut out a Mossy Meadow mat and used Liquid Glue to adhere the DSP arch to the cardstock arched mat and then to the card front.

I used the larger grass image in the Relaxing Waterside set to stamp the grass in Old Olive ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I colored around the image with the Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend and then cut it out with the coordinating Relaxing Waterside die.

I used two more dies from the set to cut out three grasses from Pool Party cardstock – two of the right facing and one left facing.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the grasses – all of them! – to the card front.

On a piece of woodgrain Waterside Retreat DSP, I stamped the Relaxing Waterside sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink.

I used the smallest Everyday Arches die to cut out the sentiment.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment over the grasses.

I added some cool Faux Bronze Hexagons and the card front was done!

For the inside, I kept it simple, stamping the large Relaxing Waterside grass image in Old Olive ink on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Relaxing Waterside grass image in Old Olive on the front…

…and some more of the wonderful Waterside Retreat DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well – whether you’re making a birthday card for your bestest dog, or for any of the guys on your list – or…really, for ANYone on your list! – the Relaxing Waterside bundle – with the coordinating Waterside Retreat DSP – is one you’ll want to have on hand!  And Everyday Arches – in the online exclusives -is a real workhorse!  it makes for PERFECT layers!! 🙂
