Stampin’ UP! Festive Cheer Sneak Peek Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

One of the best parts about getting home was being back in my craft room with my Online Exclusive pre-order!! Whoo-hoo!  So – I pulled one out – the Festive Cheer bundle.  And, while I was at it, some new 2026-2028 In Color Gingham Gallery DSP and the amazeballs new Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder.  You’re going to be able to get ALL of these in just a couple weeks – on 1 July when the new Online Exclusives go live.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I started by matting a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of the new Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Gingham Gallery DSP (available 1 July 2026) on a Basic White mat for the card front.

Next, I embossed a 3 1/2″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock in the new Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder (coming 1 July) and then matted it on Basic White and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the cool sentiment die in the new Festive Cheer die set (coming 1 July) I cut out the NOEL sentiment from Basic White cardstock.  On another bit of Basic White, I stamped the ornament in Cherry Cobbler and the leafy fill in Peaceful Pine ink.

I cut out the ornament with the die in the bundled Festive Cheer set.  I also took a minute to cut out a bow, “string” and ornament hangar from Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper.

I adhered the ornament hangar and string to the top of the die cut ornament with Liquid Glue.  When it was set up, I adhered the little bow with Liquid Glue.

From a piece of Peaceful Pine cardstock and Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper, I cut out two Festive Cheer pine boughs.  I also cut out two Pecan Pie branches.

I adhered the two branches to the two pine boughs with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the pearlized bough to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the stamped/die cut ornament in position on the card front.  I snipped the “string” to length and used a little Liquid Glue to adhere it to the branch. Note: the photo shows BEFORE I did the snipping!

Then I adhered the remaining die cut letters in place with Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the second completed pine bough to the card front.

I used the die in the set to cut out five Cherry Cobbler berries that I adhered with Liquid Glue.

I added four copper Adhesive-backed Metallic Gems (three to the card front and one small one on the stamped ornament in the sentiment) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Festive Cheer sentiment in Peaceful Pine and a Cherry Cobbler bow on a Basic White panel.  Across the bottom, I adhered a 3/8″ x 4″ piece of 2026-2028 In Color Gingham Gallery DSP with Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Peaceful Pine card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little Festive Cheer bow a few times in Cherry Cobbler ink on the front…
