Stampin’ UP! Brushed with Beauty Friendly Foliage Sneak Peek Card with Video

Good morning and happy Fri-YAY!  You made it!!  It’s the weekend again (almost – you can make it thru one more day!).

My card today re-visits the new Brushed with Beauty DSP (I need to think about getting another pack – I’m having trouble NOT using it!) – this time paired with the Friendly Foliage bundle!  These are BOTH in the new November Online Exclusives (available on 4 Nov to customers!).  Take a look-see:

I know – the paper!! 🙂

The layout for this one was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch.

I started by adhering a piece of gorgeous new Brushed with Beauty DSP to a Petal Pink mat for the card front.

I made the embossed panel by embossing a 3 3/4″ wide piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder.  Then I tore the top and bottom edges – down to about 3 1/4″ wide. Note: I made this piece longer than the final 4 ” that I needed – adhering them and trimming the excess works the best for me on these kinds of layouts.  🙂

For the “mat” – I took two strips of Petal Pink cardstock and tore one long edge of each of them.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the two strips to the top and bottom of the embossed and torn Very Vanilla panel – creating the look of a torn-edge mat!  Note: I made those pieces longer than the final 4 ” that I needed, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the card front – then trimmed the excess from both sides with the Paper Trimmer.

Using the two dies in the new Friendly Foliage bundle, I cut out a Mossy Meadow floral die cut.  I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a double-loop Linen Thread bow from a piece of Early Espresso Linen Thread (from the Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread pack) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a 5/8″ x 2 1/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Friendly Foliage sentiment in Early Espresso ink.

I popped it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Petal Pink Dear Dots and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Friendly Foliage (one of my faves in the set) in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla panel.  In the corner, I stamped the leaf image from the set a few times in Mossy Meadow ink.

I used Liquid glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Friendly Foliage leaves on the front…

…and more of the Brushed with Beauty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wow!  Friendly Foliage is SUCH a cool bundle – it’s little wonder that it was the FIRST thing to go in my pre-order cart last week, right?!  And wait till you see the STAMPED frame cut out with this same combination of dies from the set.  😎  I’ll not wax poetic about the Brushed with Beauty DSP – I just won’t.  It speaks for itself and you need it NOW!!  Or – as soon as you can get it – and the Friendly Foliage bundle! – either NOW as a demonstrator or on 4 Nov as a customer. Just sayin’!
