Stampin’ UP! Branching Out A Child is Born Sneak Peek Christmas Card with Video

Good morning – hope your long weekend is going well! And – that you’re preparing to make those final purchases of 2025-2027 In Color products with that 15% off!  Cux – TODAY is your final chance!

A friend of mine asked me to do a card with the beautiful new A Child is Born stamp set and so…I did!  I’d been sort of itching to play with it anyway – so it was a great excuse!  I also pulled out the new Modern Christmas Specialty DSP and the Branching Out die set.  This will ALL be available on 3 Sept – which is practically…tomorrow, in the new Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog!  Take a look-see:

I started by adhering a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of star-strewn new Modern Christmas Specialty DSP to the front of a Basic Black card base using Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic Black cardstock, I stamped the A Child is Born nativity image and the large star image in Versamark Ink.

I sprinkled the images with gold Metallics WOW Embossing Powder and heat set them with the Heat Tool.

The new Branching Out dies are a great source of nested label dies and I used the next-to-largest to cut out the embossed image.  The largest die I used to cut out a Gold Foil mat.  I adhered the black die cut to the foil mat with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I adhered the whole thing to the front of the card base with Liquid Glue.

Again on Basic Black cardstock, I stamped the A Child is Born manger, sheep and lamb images in Versamark Ink – sprinkled them with gold Metallic WOW Embossing Powder and heat set them with the Heat Tool.

When cool, I used scissors to cut out the three images.  Then I adhered them with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals below the nativity.

I stamped the A Child is Born sentiment in Versamark on a piece of Gold Foil and sprinkled it with black Basics WOW Embossing Powder.  Then I heat set it with the Heat Tool.

When cool, I used a Stylish Shapes label to cut it out. Note: I ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine once, then adjusted the die to cut it again and make the label shorter.

I adhered the label to the top portion of the card with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – added a clear Faceted Snowflake (a new Online Exclusive product coming on 3 Sept) to the middle of the large embossed star and…the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second A Child is Born sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the smaller star image from the set in Versamark and heat embossed it in Gold.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the smaller A Child is Born star image embossed in Gold on the front…

…and more of the Modern Christmas Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I’ve thought about the image from the A Child is Born stamp set and this paper from the Modern Christmas Specialty DSP since I saw them both.  I figured they were pretty much made for each other!  Was I right or…was I right?!  I love the elegance of this card – and hope you do, too.  And do not miss the Branching Out die set – heck, get the whole bundle! – these dies are the bomb AND the diggity!

Mary, your card is stunningly beautiful. I’ve got the stamp and wondered how to get around the faceless without it looking odd. You did it!

Addy is sure getting comfortable around the farm fast! She is adorable.

Thanks, Sharon – I know the faceless piece bothers some folks – but..I think it’s pretty classic. 🙂
