Happy Half-weekend, y’all! Hope you’re having a good one so far! I DID, in fact, get all my new pre-order goodies separated out – and labeled – and put away yesterday! And – I was even cleaned up in time for my video. If you’re interested, I’ve uploaded labels for the stamp sets. dies, embossing folders and punches – they’re super helpful for keeping track of what’s what! – into my Online Shop!
At my pre-order reveal video on Friday, the consensus among the folks watching live was that the new Branching Out bundle (new in the Sep-Dec 2025 Mini) should be the project for yesterday’s video. So…that’s what I used! Along with some pretty new Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP (coming soon as a new Online Exclusive) – I made a super pretty birthday card. Tale a look-see:
I started by adhering a piece of the Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP (available on 3 Sept) to the front of my Secret Sea card base using Liquid Glue. From the middle of a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the DSP – this one with a Secret Sea background – I cut out the second-from-largest label die in the Branching Out die set.
Then I popped the panel onto the front of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the next-to-largest and the second-from-largest Branching Out label dies set at the same time on a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, I cut out a frame – which I adhered around the opening with Liquid Glue.
I used the smallest label die from the set to cut out a piece of Lost Lagoon – and adhered it to the center of the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the dies in the set – this is coolest die set, y’all! – I cut out:
– Two Pecan Pie berry branches
– Two Pretty Peacock pine boughs
– Five little pinecones from new Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper (coming in the catalog on 3 Sept!)
I used the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend to color the berries on the Pecan Pie die cut branch – and then shortened them a bit by snipping off the ends with scissors. Then I cut one of the pine boughs in half – I only wanted three pine boughs – not four!
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the branches and boughs to the card front.
On a small rectangle of Basic White, I stamped the Branching Out sentiment in Cherry Cobbler. I made some little banner tails from two smaller pieces of Basic White – and adhered each of them behind the sentiment with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
Then I popped the sentiment over the boughs on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added three gold sequins from the Traditional Sparkling Sequins (coming on 3 Sept in the new catalog) and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Branching Out in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped a branch in Pecan Pie, some berries in Cherry Cobbler, and the single pine frond image a few times in Pretty Peacock ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Secret Sea card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the pine branch and berries on the front…
…and more of the Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – if you guessed that Branching Out is going to be one of my most favorite new bundles from the new catalog – you are correct! It is SO beautiful – and the dies are amazing! – and so very versatile. The included sentiments cover birthdays, thinking of you, etc – but..pull a Christmas sentiment from another set and…BOOM! Christmas card! The Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP is…well. Pine boughs and snowflakes fashioned FROM pine boughs? I mean. 😎
