Stampin’ Up! Mixed Media Florals & Labels Sneak Peek Thank You Card

Good morning and Happy Happy Hawwmp Day! I hope your week is going well – I’ve been baking up a storm – I’m behind in the Christmas-gift-gathering process this year so…I’m hoping to mask the paucity with baked goods and sugar highs!  ROFL!! 🙂

You know we have a new catalog going live in January – but don’t forget that there are ALSO a ton of new Online Exclusives – and it’s a REALLY great offering!  There’s even a whole SUITE of products – called the Mixed Media Florals Suite  – and it is STUNNING!  I used a few of the products in the suite – the Mixed Florals and Mixed Labels stamp sets (didn’t need the dies for this card – but they’re great!) and the Mixed Media Florals DSP.  Take a look-see:

I started by adhering a black-and-white panel from the Mixed Media Florals DSP to the front of a Basic Black card base using Liquid Glue.

I cut another design from the paper – I got six 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ pieces – all ready for quick and easy card fronts.  Using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the panel to the front of the card base.

I stamped the Mixed Labels sentiment in Calypso Coral on a 1″ wide strip of Basic White cardstock.  Using Paper Snips – I cut an angled end on the right side.

I cut a 1″ wide piece of the same black-and-white Mixed Media Florals DSP that I’d used on the front of the card base and snipped an angled end in it, too.  Tip:  Just line the DSP strip up with the sentiment strip and “eye-ball” the angle – making it a little longer than the sentiment. 😉

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the DSP strip to the card front – aligning the straight left-edge with the left edge of the card base.

I tied a bow from two lengths of black Baker’s Twine and adhered it to the DSP strip with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the sentiment over the bow with black Stampin’ Dimensionals – again aligning the left end with the left edge of the card base.

Finally – just cuz I love love love them! – I adhered five little (NEW – get them on 7 Jan!) Tiny Bee Trinkets using Liquid Glue and the card front was done!  Note: if you have an easier time with Glue Dots – use HALF Glue Dots – scrunched up – to adhere your teensy bees!

On the inside, I stamped a second Mixed Labels sentiment in Calypso Coral on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the big – and gorgeous! – floral from the Mixed Florals set (also available to customers on 7 Jan!) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the image with Watercolor Pencils in Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Pecan Pie.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic Black card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Mixed Florals image stamped and colored with Watercolor Pencils on the front…

…and more of the black-and-white Mixed Media Florals DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all – this suite is…STUNNING!  The Mixed Media Florals DSP is absolutely gorgeous – and it’s ably supported by the Mixed Florals and Mixed Labels bundles.  You’ll also find the wonderful Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder andLow Profile Dots (adhesive-backed dots in gold and Petal Pink).  Yeah – you’re going to want it ALL!  Not for THIS card – but…for all the OTHER projects you’re going to want to create!
