Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Golden Greenery Birthday Card

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well! I’m starting the gift gathering for Christmas – and trying to keep at least a LITTLE surprise for Wayne!  It’s not easy, believe me! 🤦‍♀️

My card today isn’t a Christmas card – birthdays need cards, too!  I saw a really cool card that Dawn Olchefske made and…I wanted to do one of my own!  I pulled out the online exclusive Golden Greenery stamp set and the Unbounded Love set (for the sentiment) from the Annual Catalog.  I used some Deckled Rectangle die cuts for a mask and sentiment!  Take a look-see:

I played with some elements from the Tic Tac Toe challenge! I went across the diagonal (Fall-Ribbon-Embellishment) and across the bottom (leaves-Frame-Embellishment).

I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by cutting a mask from a piece of cardstock using the third-from-largest Deckled Rectangles Die.

Using some re-positionable tape dots, I temporarily secured the mask in the center of my Very Vanilla card front panel.

Then I used two branch images from Golden Greenery to stamp all the way around the mask – I stamped the first image in Mossy Meadow (the branches) and the second image in Old Olive (the fill/leaves).  Then I added the two-step berries in both Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze inks.

I picked up the mask – and rubbed the remaining tape-dots off.  Then I used Glue Dots on the back of the panel to adhere a length of Basic Beige 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon around the panel.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Unbounded Love sentiment in Cajun Craze ink.  Then I used the 5th-from-largest Deckled Rectangle to cut it out.

I matted the sentiment on a Cajun Craze mat – cut with the 4th-from-largest Deckled Rectangle – using Liquid Glue.

Then I adhered it over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow from the Basic Beige 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I added three of the new Adhesive-backed Heart Sequins (coming on 5 November as an Online Exclusive) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Unbounded Love sentiment in Cajun Craze on a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I added the Golden Greenery bough in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.  I stamped some Crushed Curry berries and added another of the new Adhesive-backed Heart Sequins.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Cajun Craze card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a Golden Greenery bough and some berries on the front…

…and again on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I loved the frame effect that Dawn created with her card – and I used the Deckled Rectangles to add elements to the edge of the masked frame!  The Golden Greenery stamp set has such pretty foliage – leaves like I’ve used or pine boughs!  And the Unbounded Love has a ton of great sentiments – for all sorts of occasions! 🙂

I hope you like! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

The other day I was looking at Finn and I had a thought.

I’m okay – thanks for asking.

Do you think toe tufts are like…ear tufts in old men?

Like…if they never got trimmed….one day I could braid them??

🤔

Such a pretty card! Love the colors and the clean layering! And those look more like old man eyebrows to me. 😂
