My card today features a bundle that really SHOULD be on your list today! The Charming Duck Pond bundle is very cute and very fun – especially when paired with the coordinating Lily Pond Lane DSP. But…maybe you want to go a different direction? A little more serious – maybe even with a masculine bent? Try adding…Country Woods DSP. Take a look-see:
I pulled some ideas from the Inspo List at the Festive Friday challenge this week. Look for Masculine Colors, Wood Elements and a Thanks sentiment. 🙂

I started by adhering a piece of Country Woods DSP to the front of my Basic Beige card base using Liquid Glue.
From a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, I cut out the Charming Duck Pond frame with the pretty die in the set.
I adhered the die cut panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut out a duck – and his wing & bill – from a piece of Early Espresso cardstock using the two Charming Duck Pond dies. I adhered the die cut bill and wing to the body with Liquid Glue and then I slid him – her? – in behind the frame and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
Then I used more of the dies to cut out four Old Olive grasses and four Basic Beige grasses. I also cut out three Old Olive lily pads (there’s a single die that cuts all three at once) and three Crushed Curry waterlilies.
I used my Paper Snips to cut all the cattails from the top of the four Basic Beige die cuts – and adhered them with Liquid Glue to the tops of the Old Olive die cuts.
I inked JUST the word “thanks” from one of the sentiment stamps in the Friendly Fins set in Mossy Meadow and stamped a Basic Beige strip of cardstock. I adhered it to the frame with Liquid Glue.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut cattails on either side of the frame.
I added the lily pads with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered their flowers with Liquid Glue
Finally, cuz what pond worth the name doesn’t have them….I added a flurry (five!) Dragonflies from the Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the second part of the Friendly Fins sentiment in Mossy Meadow on a Basic White panel. In the corner I stamped the Charming Duck Pond cattail image in Old Olive and added the cattails themselves in Basic Beige. And – yup – added a dragonfly!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic Beige card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Old Olive grass and Basic Beige cattails on the front…
…and more Country Woods DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – it’s official. I love this Charming Duck Pond bundle – in it’s bright and fun and cheerful persona (see the other card I made with it right here) AND in it’s natural and organic state like here. The Country Woods DSP is a perfect choice to pair with the Mossy Meadow and Basic Beige die cuts. This would be a great thank you for a guy, too!
