Stampin’ Up! Hot Air Balloon Sweetly Scripted Sneak Peek Congrats with Video Tutorial

Morning, y’all!  Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Are you a Chiefs fan or are you rooting for the 49r’s.  Or – not even sure what I’m talking about?!  I’m a Patrick Mahomes fan so…whatever cheering I do will be for the Chiefs! And, of COURSE, I’m hoping against hope that TS manages to get to Vegas in time to see her man play.  Somehow…I think she’ll make it. LOL.

Now – if Taylor were using the mode of transportation featured on my Hot Air Balloon card today – there’s a 1000% chance she’d miss the game.  In fact – it MIGHT even take her 40 DAYS to get there!

But..it makes for a darned cute card – especially against a Lighter Than Air sky and floating above Basic Borders die cut clouds!  Take a look-see:

The idea for this one came from the Global Design Project challenge this week.

I started by adhering a piece of Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Basic White card base using Liquid Glue.

Using the scalloped Basic Borders Die, I cut two 5 1/2″-wide pieces of Lemon Lolly cardstock and one 5 1/2″-wide piece of Vellum cardstock to make “clouds”.

On one of the Lemon Lolly pieces, I stamped the Sweetly Scripted sentiment in Balmy Blue ink.

Y’all – this is a new Online Exclusive product – that you’ll be able to pick up on 5 March (assuming you don’t join the team right now and get it EARLY!).  And it’s really cool.  Look at all those fun sentiments! Talk about covering all the bases!

Using Liquid Glue, I layered the three die cuts onto the bottom of the card front – with the Lemon Lolly sentiment cloud going on last.

For the Hot Air Balloons….

– I stamped two balloons on Basic White  – one in Lemon Lolly and Balmy Blue and the other in Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath.  I cut them both out with the coordinating Hot Air Balloon die.

– I cut out a Lemon Lolly solid heart.

– I cut out the detailed heart from Bubble Bath cardstock.

– I cut out three Lemon Lolly swags and three scallop swags from three different designs of the Lighter Than Air DSP.

– I cut out three little balloon baskets from Balmy Blue cardstock.

I used Liquid Glue to assemble the three balloons.

When you make this – you can adjust your colors or pick different designs from the DSP to change up the look!

I adhered the two stamped balloons to the card front with Liquid Glue – see how I tucked the one basket behind the Vellum cloud?

 

Then I popped the heart balloon on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love the Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots (so many pretty colors!) and I popped a few of the Bubble Bath dots onto the card front and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped the Hot Air Balloon in Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly on a Basic White panel.  I added a Balmy Blue stamped balloon basket, too!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Lemon Lolly mat and into the Basic White card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Hot Air Balloon on the front…

…and more of the Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I just love this Lighter Than Air DSP, don’t you?!  Such pretty, soft colors – I think this would be a sweet new-baby card, too, don’t you?!  And the Hot Air Balloons bundle is uber fun – and pairs perfectly with that “cloud” die in the a la carte Basic Borders die set .  But – my new fave thing – the Sweetly Scripted set – oh my!  I have long loved scripty sentiments like this – and this set is perfect!  I love how this card turned out, don’t you?!
