Good morning – the week has rolled back around again. Weird how that just keeps happening, right?! 🤷♀️
The card I made for you today uses a set that I’ve called a fly-over in the past – it’s the Let’s Chat set and it’s darling! And – I played with the cool Thoughtful Expressions die set – I just love all those layering dies – such pretty shapes! Take a look-see:
I made this project out on Instagram this morning and you can see it here.
The layout for this card is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
And the color palette is from this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge.
I started with a Blueberry Bushel card base and, all over the front, I stamped the conversation bubble from the Let’s Chat set in Night of Navy ink. What a fun way to decorate – without adding any bulk or more layers!
Using the two largest Deckled Rectangles dies, I cut out two pieces of Vellum cardstock.
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered the larger rectangle to the card front.
I embossed the smaller rectangle in the Cascading Ruffles 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – being sure to keep them centered where they’d be hidden by the next layers.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the two pieces of the phone in Bubble Bath ink.. I also stamped the sentiment – in Night of Navy – and the “sound” image in Sweet Sorbet. I cut everything out with dies from the Thoughtful Expressions set – largest for the phone, smallest for the sentiment and next-to-smallest for the “sound”.
I stamped the little heart in Sweet Sorbet in the middle of the phone dial and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I tucked the middle die cut – with the “sound” image – under the larger die cut – adhering it with Liquid Glue.
I tied a little bow from two lengths of Sweet Sorbet 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
I used double-stacked Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the bow.
Finally, I added some Bubble Bath rounds from the Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Let’s Chat handset and cord in Bubble Bath ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the little heart a few times in Sweet Sorbet.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bubble Bath mat and into the Blueberry Bushel card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the handset, cord and hearts on the front…
…and I stamped the uber-fun cord/sentiment image in Bubble Bath on the envelope flap. I LOVE this image SO much – I just had to use it! 😎
Et Voila! I just think that Let’s Chat is too cute to NOT have in your stash – “Hello” and “Hey” are nice, neutral sentiments – making this a really versatile set to have on hand! And – the Thoughtful Expressions dies – great with their bundled stamp set but…even WITHOUT it, I think it’s going to be a staple – the layering medallions and labels dies are simply too useful to miss out on!
I hope you like!

Such a cute card! Love the fun phone image…does it make us old that we even know that’s a phone?? 😉 Hope that the pony isn’t shedding too soon…it’s only January!
Thanks, Amy! And – she coats up while it’s still too warm and starts shedding when it’s still going to be cold! That darned sunshine!🤷♀️
Just a fun design, Mary! Thanks for playing along with us at FMS this week.

Little early in these mountains. Pony coats needed for a while yet. 😉
