Stampin’ Up! CAS Embossed Adoring Hearts Just For You Card

Good morning and Happy Happy HAWWMP Day!  And – happy it’s-not-so-cold-my-fingers-are-falling-off anymore day!  Whoo-hoo!  I actually opened up the barn yesterday afternoon for the first time in a week!  It was quite the celebration, let me tell you! 🙂 If YOU’RE still freezing…I’m sorry!

My card today is a pretty one that could be for Valentine’s – or Galentine’s – or…just because you’re thinking of your friend!  It uses the Adoring Hearts bundle with the beautiful Hybrid Embossing Folder.  And – I added some gold-foiled Most Adored Specialty DSP, too!  Take a look-see:

I made this project out on Instagram this morning and you can see it here.

I added several elements to the card as a result of inspiration from the Festive Friday Challenge Inspo List. Like – Purple, Pearls, and Hearts.

I saw a card on Pinterest – from Julie Gilson over at Stampin’ Gala – that I liked so much, that I gave it a CASE!

I started by embossing a full size panel of the Basic White cardstock in the Adoring Hearts 3D Embossing folder.  Then I adhered it to the front of my Thick Basic White card base using Liquid Glue.

Using my Stampin’ Brayer, I added Fresh Freesia ink to a piece of gold-foiled plaid paper from the Most Adored Specialty DSP.  Y’all – this elegant paper is FREE during Sale-A-Bration (thru 29 Feb) with a $50 purchase (before shipping & tax).   And – it is stunning!

I used the second-from-largest Deckled Rectangle to cut from the brayered DSP and adhered the die cut to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a square of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the pretty heart-wreath from Adoring Hearts in Pretty Peacock ink.  Then I colored the little flowers with the Light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend.

I embossed the square in the cross-hatch folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folder, matted it on Pretty Peacock cardstock and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut out a Fresh Freesia heart using the Adoring Hearts die and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

From a piece of Basic White cardstock, I used a couple of dies from Adoring Hearts to cut out the little sentiment banner and several small hearts.

I stamped the Adoring Hearts sentiment onto the banner in Pretty Peacock ink and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimesionals.

I adhered the little hearts to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I adhered a little white Baker’s Twine bow with a little Liquid Glue, added some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and the card front was done!

On the inside, I simply stamped a sweet heart image from Adoring Hearts in Fresh Freesia on a Basic White panel.  I used the Light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend to color the tiny center flower.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and into the Thick Basic White card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the large heart-wreath in Pretty Peacock and Fresh Freesia on the front…

…and some more of the Fresh Freesia-brayered Most Adored Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! I love the sweetness of the heart-wreath in the Adoring Hearts stamp set – and the bundled dies and Hybrid Embossing folder are perfect with the pretty images and sentiments.  Speaking of… there are several sentiments you could add (I’d do it in Pretty Peacock) right over the heart on the inside if you want to make this a Valentine’s card – birthday card – congratulations card!  So many possibilities and the FREE Most Adored Specialty DSP is so versatile that…the sky’s the limit!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

So – I’ve been pretty….uhm…lax?…lazy?…in the dieting department for the past few…six??…months.

And – I can feel it.  Not in a good way.

Which means…time to get back on the stick.  Making sure to weigh and measure and log everything.  No more mindless munching on popcorn (let’s be frank – mindless munching on popcorn is one of my favorite things to do – and Finn is also a fan).  But – gotta stop.  Since I vowed to NEVER go back to my “old size clothes” – it’s likely to get embarrassing if I don’t get it turned around.

I’ve started to make downward progress (whew!) and…I credit my Diet Accountability Partner.  “They” say that you’re more likely to succeed with a diet partner so…I got me one!

And he is…super CUTE!! ‘Specially his lips.

I like roasted cauliflower.  He likes roasted cauliflower.

I like roasted carrots.  He likes roasted carrots.

I like roasted broccoli.  He likes roasted broccoli.

His enthusiasm for my healthy food is…very encouraging!

Which is all well and good.  But – to be clear – we BOTH still prefer mindless munching on popcorn. 🤷‍♀️

Such a pretty card! Love the soft colors and the layering is perfect! Glad that you’re both enjoying your roasted stuff…thinking that I might need to come down and hang out with the two of you since I seem to mindless munch on cookies! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

That sounds way better than broccoli, not gonna lie! Thanks, my friend! 🙂

  2. Of course, now I need all these items you used to create this beautiful card. You do that to my pocketbook all too often … in a good way 😉 Eating habits…yeah, I hear ya…Harry & David’s Moose Munch stayed on the couch from Christmas thru last night. I’ve put on the pounds with Christmas cookies, candies, pizza and popcorn…all things not in my diet since August but somehow creeped in 12/24 – 1/24! A month’s not too bad to My exercise walking to the mail box has been delayed by our winter storm but I hope to resume tomorrow or Friday. All your veggies sound wonderful and need to get back on my menu too. Have a blessed day.

Spring WILL come and better walks can happen! And – now that holidays are gone…harder to get Moose Munch! Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  3. Carol Kulik

Holy cow! That is the cutest! What a great way to start my day. Thank you.

I am so glad you have such an enthusiastic partner in the “healthy food” department…….it sure helps! Nope, you don’t want to go back on that promise…….you have come such a long way. When I think back to hearing your story, I am so in awe of your accomplishment. Sure wish I could get a handle on this mindless munching!!!! Stay strong!

    • stampsnlingers

It’s hard hard hard – amazing how fast a ton of calories goes in! Thank you for the very kind words!! 🙂

  5. Patricia

All those roasted veggies sound so delish that I could eat them all the time! You (and Finn) can eat plain popcorn …… NO BUTTER! Plain popcorn has only 30 calories per cup so you could still have your mindless munching, but only a cupful in one sitting.

    BTW, pretty card.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – we have Skinny Pop for the when the need arises – thanks! 🙂

  6. Kate

Sorry I passed along the mindless popcorn eating gene…😕

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – it’s pretty easy to do! :). Thanks, Mom! 🙂

  7. Mary, your card is absolutely darling! I love all the texture, hearts and layers. Thanks for joining us at Festive Friday Challenge 🙂
