Stampin’ Up! Merriest Traditions Celebrate with Tags Christmas Card

Good morning and happy Cyber Monday!  Check out the Stamp-N-Storage sale today – it’s on top of the Holiday Sale savings (which also ends tonight) AND you’re going to score a free gift!  It’s one day only, though so…you know what you need to do!

I’m a little embarrassed to tell you that I’m using the Merriest Trees bundle today. Yes, again!  I love it and want you to love it, too!  This time, I paired it up with a perfect sentiment from the Celebrate With Tags set (from the Annual Catalog!) and some Traditions of St Nick DSP – an Online Exclusive.  Yes – I covered ALL the bases today! Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! Merriest Traditions Celebrate with Tags Christmas Card - Stamps-N-Lingers

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

And – the colors are from the Hand Stamped Sentiment color challenge. Although…it was a hard combo for me – you may know that Berry Burst is my least fave of our colors!! 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I started with a 4″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Traditions of St. Nick DSP.  I placed the left side of the paper at 1″ on my  Trimmer and made the first cut.  Then I put the left edge at 2″ and cut there – leaving one more 1″ wide strip – and  –  the design was still intact!

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the two 1″ wide strips to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Berry Burst mat – keeping them “in order”.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere a 1″ x 4″ strip of Pebbled Path cardstock across the card front.

I matted the remaining piece of DSP to a Berry Burst mat and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it into place in the center of the card base – again ensuring that the pattern remained intact.

Using the largest Merriest Trees tree die, I cut out a Basic White tree.

I stamped the Celebrate With Tags sentiment in Mossy Meadow – and then popped it into place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the tree stand die from Merriest Trees to cut out a Pebbled Path stand and, sliding it under the tree, adhered it with Liquid Glue.

Finally, I added some Berry Burst Adhesive-backed Iridescent Discs and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a Merriest Trees sentiment in Mossy Meadow on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped a cute little bow in Berry Burst ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Berry Burst mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got that cute little Merriest Trees bow in Berry Burst a few times on the front…

…and more of that pretty Traditions of St. Nick DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the old-fashioned colors and designs in the Traditions of St. Nicks DSP – it coordinates PERFECTLY with the Saint Nicholas bundle in the Sep – Dec 2023 Mini – which is retiring soon, so….🤷‍♀️. I’m not even going to extol the virtues of Merriest Trees – it speaks for itself!  Don’t miss the cute Celebrate With Tags set, either – it’s in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog and covers a LOT of celebratory bases!

Finn Fan Fix

This is a concept he’s not really “getting”.

Nope – Mr. Carrot needs to stay in the house. He’s never really been waterproof but…it’s worse now….

So – he reluctantly leaves it in the house but…. hurries right back in to double check…

WHEW!

I MISSED you so much, Mr. Carrot!  Hurry, Mom! 🙂

Pretty card! Love the non-traditional colors…and Berry Burst really does work with Pebbled Path and Mossy Meadow! 🙂 Poor Finn…you take away his toys for days and days (okay, maybe 15 minutes…but it feels like days!!) and then you’ve put it up too high for him to reach when he returns. It’s a rough life. 😉

I know. Toy deprivation – a very tortuous thing that we do to this pitiful pooch! Thanks so much – and you’re right! I ended up really liking the pop of Berry Burst with the other two colors! 🙂

  2. I love the big white tree and sentiment on the rich colors of the background! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  3. Just lovely, Mary! Love the card design and colors!

Our Missy, who is no longer with us, used to sneak her favorite stuffy (a little bear) outside on a regular basis. She didn’t want to part with it! Mr. Bear had quite a few baths! I see Finn is equally attached to Mr. Carrot! Too cute!

Yeah – he loves his toys – more than any other dog I’ve ever had! His problem is he tends to carry it away from the house and then leave it somewhere. And then he can’t find it. It’s a whole thing! LOL! Thanks, Carol! 🙂

  4. I love this with the panel on the front and that white Christmas tree. Thank you for playing with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments and throughout the year – we hope to see you again next year for more crafting inspiration.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks much, Fiona – appreciate you stopping by!! And – if you guys do challenges, I’ll be back! 🙂

  5. Kate

    Great tree card!
Hmmmm…Mr. Carrot looks to be coming undone.

  6. So pretty, Mary – I haven’t been as good about using up this DSP, lol, but this design is wonderful! Love the base for the tree so much! Thanks so much for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Thank you, Heather! I appreciate you stopping by with such kind words! 🙂
