Stampin’ Up! Holy Night Divine Votive Easel Fun Fold Christmas Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Sunday! I had a great few hours watching the OnStage @Home event yesterday and…I may or may not have already placed my Product Purchase Premier order!  And I may or may not have accidently hit the Next Day button.  Which means I may or may not be giving you a sneaky peek in a video on Monday!  You’ll want to be watching for that – I mean,  JIC I did ALL those things!!  And – there are some AMAZE-balls new goodies coming in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini – can’t WAIT for you to see them.  Or…GET them early! 😉

My card today is one that we made at our Retreat last weekend – Linda Nye brought this as her shoebox swap and it is SO cool! It featured the gorgeous Night Divine bundle and Shining Brightly Specialty DSP – and I added a few goodies from the Stars at Night Bundle, too.  It’s a stunning votive easel card…take a look-see!

Being a Christmas card – I played along with the Global Design Project theme challenge.

It’s not surprising that I had some requests for a video on how to make this so…here we go!

I started with a “regular” tent fold card in Night of Navy cardstock.

The card front is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Shining Brightly Specialty DSP.  I placed it on the front panel of my card base and then set the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die onto both pieces and ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine!.

Using Stampin’ Seal – I adhered a piece of Vellum cardstock onto the card front – covering the die cut hole.

I used the die from the Night Divine set to cut out a Night of Navy nativity silhouette.  Using a little Liquid Glue – I adhered it in place on the card front – over the vellum-covered hole.

I popped the Shining Brightly panel atop the card front using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals (making sure the holes were lined up!).

The frame is cut from Gold Foil using the largest and next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die – then it’s adhered with a little Liquid Glue.

To get the easel going, I scored a 4 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock at 1/2″ on the long side.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a small panel of Shining Brightly DSP to the bottom of the easel panel – on the opposite end from the score line.

Then I inked the large and lovely sentiment from Night Divine in Versamark and stamped it on the panel – centered between the score line and the DSP panel.  I sprinkled it with Gold Metallic Embossing Powder and heated it up with my Heat Tool.

I folded the panel at the 1/2″ score line and added Tear & Tape Adhesive to the flap.  Then I used that to adhere the panel to the BOTTOM of the back panel of the card base.

I adhered a strip of Gold Foil across the DSP panel at the bottom using Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, I stamped another Night Divine sentiment in Versamark, sprinkled it with Gold Metallics Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I cut it out with the label die from Stylish Shapes and adhered it to the panel with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I heat embossed another Night Divine sentiment in Gold on a Very Vanilla panel and used Stampin Seal to adhere it to the top panel of the inside of the card.

Finally – I cut out a small star from Gold Foil using the Stars at Night dies (part of the Stars at Night Hybrid Embossing Folder) and adhered it over the Nativity with a Glue Dot – and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the stars from Stars at Night heat embossed in Gold on the front…

…and more of the Shining Brightly Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This one is so pretty!  The Night of Navy and Gold from the Shining Brightly Specialty DSP sets a perfectly elegant stage for the Night Divine bundle images and sentiments – and the Stars at Night bundle plays a small – but IMPORTANT part!  And – thank you again to Linda Nye for the bringing this card for us to play with! 🙂

To light this baby up – I used a little battery-operated tea candle/votive (you can get them in large packs at Amazon!) and…the magic happened! Click the pic to see it in action! 🙂
