I put together a little table that’ll show you! Be sure to check it out BEFORE you spend your $75 to get that free shipping – okay?!? 😎😎😎
Now – while you’re picking your Starter Kit goodies – you MIGHT want to consider some of the products I’ve used for today’s Twelfth Saturday Before Christmas card!! Like..the beautiful and old-fashioned Saint Nicholas bundle! Pair it up with the Traditions of St. Nick DSP – from the Online Exclusives. And don’t forget Forever Forest Dies! Could THIS be your choice for the card-sending season? Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
I started by embossing a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in the cross-hatch folder that is part of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders pack (an Online Exclusive).
I tore all the edges – taking just a thin strip off each side. Tip: tear towards you to get the best “edge”! :). Then I lightly crumpled the panel to get a little softer and crinkle-ier.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the panel at a slight angle to the front of a Crumb Cake card base.
I pulled out the Forever Forest Die set (I LOVE these dies!!) and cut out three Mossy Meadow and two Old Olive trees.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the trees to the card front.
There are two dies in the Saint Nicholas die set that, when both are cut, will assemble a brick chimney. I cut them from Copper Clay cardstock and adhered the bottom of the chimney to the card front with Liquid Glue. Then I added the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used the die in the set to cut out some “snow” – one “top” and two “ground” die cuts. I adhered the top to the top of the chimney and one of the “ground” cuts to the bottom of the chimney with Liquid Glue.
With one of the dies, I cut out a Santa from the Traditions of St. Nick DSP. Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the second “ground” snow die cut to his boots. Tip – set him in place on the card front and see where the snow needs to go to look right. Then adhere the snow to the die cut – and, if necessary, trim any excess “boots” from the DSP die cut.
I adhered the Santa – with his “ground” – to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a small simple bow from a piece of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On a narrow strip of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the Saint Nicholas sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink. Then I used Paper Snips to cut banner ends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment strip to a banner cut from a piece of Copper Clay Traditions of St. Nick DSP (with banners snipped in both ends). Then I adhered the sentiment over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Adhesive-backed Star Trinkets and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Saint Nicholas Santa in Mossy Meadow on a Crumb Cake panel. Using a Blender Pen, I colored the tree and his robe in Mossy Meadow ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow panel and into the Crumb Cake card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Saint Nicholas Santa on the front…
…and more of the Traditions of St. Nick DSP – the same design I used for the banner under the sentiment – on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I DO love a vintage Christmas card – don’t you?! And when it ALSO has the bestest pine trees ever? Yes, please!! The Saint Nicholas bundle is perfect for this kind of card – and those Forever Forest dies really ARE the bestest ever! And – the Traditions of St. Nick DSP takes it up even more with the designs AND the ability to cut images right out with the dies. Score!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
The other day, Finn got all wound up and acted like he needed to go outside.
Like – NEEDED to go outside.
So – I let him out.
Since I was making dinner – and it wasn’t time to feed Cady OR walk to the mailbox – I went back to the kitchen.
He just stood there – staring into the kitchen window.
ONE of us was confused.
I figured it was me so…I went for a walk! 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Such an awesome card Mary! Love the layering and the Santa die cut is fantastic! Poor Finn, this is not the normal way that we do things mom…you’re supposed to be out here with me and then I run around as you walk. I’ll just wait here and look at you until you do what you’re supposed to do so that I can do what I’m supposed to do. 😉
He IS a creature of habit! It’s time to walk Mom – LET’S GO!! Thank you, Amy! 🙂
What a lovely scene! Santa is a gorgeous image and you’ve added so many wonderful details behind him. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Thanks much, Kim – appreciate you stopping by! 🙂
This is a wonderful card, Mary…..loved watching you make it. World Card Making Day was super fun…you-all outdid yourselves!!
I LOL’d at Finn…or you….or that whole circumstance. Easy to understand how it happened…(I have a dog too…..)
Yup – they train us SO well, don’t they!? I am SO happy that you enjoyed WCMD 2023! We had fun DOING it!! :). Thanks, Faith!
This is such a gorgeous card. I love vintage Santa’s, or St. Nick. May have to CASE.
Had to laugh at Finn. Or you. They talk about training your dog. What a joke….it is WE who are trained. Still, funny that he knew what needed doing, even if he had to remind you.l
Yep – he’s my fitness coach – and pretty insistent! 🙂 And yes – HE has ME trained perfectly! Thanks, Julie! 🙂
Congratulations on your win at FMS, Mary! Your card is gorgeous and truly deserving of that crown!
=]
Thank you so much, Michele – I appreciate it! 🙂
