Stampin’ Up! Celebrate the Miracle Hanukkah Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Sunday!  Did y’all have a good time on the WCMD events yesterday?  I hope so – I know we had a great time bringing it to you!  SO many pretty projects and ideas!

With Hanukkah starting soon, I wanted to show y’all a card that you could make using the new-to-Stampin’ UP! Celebrate the Miracle stamp set – so that’s what I did – and it was the first card I shared yesterday!  I paired it with some pretty Shining Brightly Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout here was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge.

I started by adhering a piece of Shining Brightly Specialty DSP onto the front of my Thick Very Vanilla card base using Liquid Glue.

On a narrow piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the menorah (more accurately – the hanukkiyah) from the Celebrate the Miracle set in Versamark Ink and sprinkled it with gold Embossing Powder.  Then I heated it with the Heat Tool to set the powder.

When the embossing powder had cooled, I used the candles image from the set to add them in Misty Moonlight ink.  And then I stamped the flames in Crushed Curry.

Next to the menorah – I stamped just the word “Miracle” in Misty Moonlight.  I did that by inking JUST that word on the stamp (it’s photopolymer – so….easy!).

On another small piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the remainder of the sentiment in Misty Moonlight and then cut it out with my Paper Snips.

I adhered the fussy cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Star of David image under the sentiment in Boho Blue and added some gold Festive Pearls.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and then onto the front of the card base – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Celebrate the Miracle sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Over the top, I stamped the candles in stamped-off-once Misty Moonlight, then added the flames in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and into the Thick Very Vanilla card base and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the candles and flames – in full strength ink – on the front…

…and some of the Shining Brightly DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  It’s been a long time coming and I’m so happy we have this beautiful new Celebrate the Miracle for celebrating the Jewish holidays.  The sentiments are really lovely – and the images perfect.  I also love how well the Shining Brightly Specialty DSP  – with it’s dark blues, golds and Vanilla colors – conveys the meaning and significance of the celebration.

Finn Fan Fix

Yesterday during one of Amy’s presentations, we were talking about foods that our dogs love.

Yeah – we’d gone down a rabbit hole, for sure! 🤷‍♀️

But – we got to talking about carrots and I mentioned that Finn loves them!

I mean – he likes the REAL ones, too – just not quite as…ardently! 🤔

Such a beautiful card Mary! The colors and layout are perfect, love the gold foil paper layered under the main panel! 🙂

  2. Beautiful. Wasn’t going to comment as I did that when I watched the video. However, it is too lovely to ignore.
