Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Bee Mine Sneak Peak Thanks for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Giving Thanks!  Be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

Ever since I saw the Bee Mine Suite – available in January in the Jan – Apr 2024 Mini Catalog –  I’ve wanted to make a card with it.  So that’s where I started this week.  I actually used pretty much all of it – the Bee My Valentine punch bundle, the absolutely adorable Bee Mine DSP and some pretty Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers .  Being that there isn’t a thank-you sentiment in the suite, I also pulled out the Sentimental Park stamp set – it’s got a PERFECT “thanks” in it!  Take a look-see:

I started by adhering a piece of plaid Bee Mine DSP to a Sweet Sorbet mat with Liquid Glue.  Look at how cute this paper is, y’all – and be ready to snap it up in January!

I used the middle rectangle in the Scalloped Contours die set to cut out a Basic White rectangle.  Near the bottom, I stamped the Sentimental Park sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink.

I added a Lemon Lime Twist stem/leaves image from the Bee My Valentine set and stamped a little flower in Petal Pink.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the black stripes from the Bee My Valentine set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Over the top, I added the bee body (it looks like a fat oval in the stamp set) in Crushed Curry ink.  Tip:  it’s easier to line things up if you start with the black stripes and THEN add the body!

I used the Bee Builder Punch to cut out the bee body.  Then I stamped one of the FOUR adorable faces…see ’em?…

…in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Uhm – they don’t ACTUALLY have green circles on the stamps….🤷‍♀️

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the wing outline twice in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Over the top – I added the wing fill (looks like a big heart!) in Petal Pink ink.  Then – I cut them both out with the punch.

I also cut out two wings from a piece of the polka-dot paper from the Vellum Basics Specialty DSP.

I lightly curled the wings with a Bone Folder and then, using Glue Dots, I attached the wings to the side of the bee.

Before popping the bee onto the Scalloped Contours rectangle, I set it in place and used it as a guide to stamp a set of antennae and a bee trail in Tuxedo Black.

I popped the bee in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhered the whole thing to the card front with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a small Sweet Sorbet flower and a few hearts from the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Sentimental Park sentiment in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the Bee My Valentine bee – and his wings – and his trail – and a flower!  And then I MADE myself stop! TOO. MUCH. FUN! I DID add another of the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers, though!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sweet Sorbet mat and into my Lemon Lime Twist card base, popped the card front on with Stampin Dimensionals – and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Bee and…his trail!…on the front…

…and more of the Bee Mine DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness, y’all – this is absolutely the cutest set EVER!  Bee My Valentine – with all its sweet little images – and the Bee Builder Punch are just the best – can you even think how many cute little buzzers you can make!? And – if that wasn’t enough – how about that Bee Mine DSP!!
