Stampin’ Up! All About Autumn Leaves Diagonal Thank You with Video

And…just like that – it’s Friday again! Yeah for weekends – and MISS SONYA!! Whoo-hooo!!  Hope you’ve got something fun and cool to look forward to this weekend! 🙂

My card today will look sort of familiar, maybe.  It uses the same layout – roughly! – as the card I posted on Tuesday.  But – with a change in stamp set bundle and DSP – it looks plenty different!  This one spotlights the pretty All About Autumn DSP (it WILL be back – I promise!) and the coordinating Autumn Leaves bundle – I can’t seem to stop using it!! Take a look-see:

The color palette for this one is from The Paper Players challenge this week!

And the leaf elements work well for the Global Design Project theme challenge.

I started by adhering a piece of Copper Clay paper from the All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP to the top of a Very Vanilla panel using Liquid Glue.

Again using Liquid Glue, I adhered two pieces of Pretty Peacock paper from All About Autumn to a Wild Wheat mat.  Note: you need the strips and mat to be long enough to reach across your card front at whatever angle you want to use – so think ahead on that! 🙂

I adhered the matted strips to the card front at an angle with Liquid Glue.  Then I trimmed the excess with my Paper Snips and matted the panel on Wild Wheat cardstock for the card front.

Using Blending Brushes, I swirled Wild Wheat and Copper Clay inks randomly onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Then I stamped the large vein image from the Autumn Leaves stamp set in Copper Clay ink onto the area I’d colored.

Using the large leaf die in the Autumn Leaves set, I cut out the leaf – aligning the die over the stamped vein image.

I used the dies in the set to cut three small Copper Clay leaves and two small Wild Wheat  “veins” from some 2023-2025 In Color Luster Specialty Paper.

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the leaves and “veins” (they’re twigs for this card!) to the card front.

I tied a double-length Linen Thread bow – here’s a quick video on how to do that (the first part of the video is how to tie the bow – the second part is how to adhere the stickers to your new Cling stamps)! – and adhered it with some Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the larger sentiment from Autumn Leaves in Pebbled Path ink.  Under it I added a second – smaller – sentiment in Copper Clay ink.

I used the label die in the Autumn Leaves set to cut out the sentiment and then adhered it over the top of the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To add a little bling, I added some dots using the copper Metallic Enamel Effects and the card front was done.  Note: be sure to let them dry really well before you disturb them.  Ask me how I know.  Heck – watch the video below to SEE how I know!🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

On the inside, I stamped another Autumn Leaves sentiment in Pebbled Path on a Very Vanilla panel.  Over the top, I stamped a smaller leaf in Copper Clay ink – that I stamped off twice on scrap paper before stamping the panel.  I added the veins in stamped-off-twice Copper Clay, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Wild Wheat mat and into my Pebbled Path card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the stamped-off-twice Autumn Leaves leaf on the front…

…and more of the All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is my kinda card – a collage of Fall leaves from the Autumn Leaves bundle and a great sentiment, too!  And the All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP is stunning – the Fall colors are all so perfect together! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

In light of recent events – Finn understands that not everyone is knowledgeable about the important role K-9 police officers take in the apprehension of ne’er do well miscreants.

So – he wanted to show what it would look like from the bad guy’s perspective.

Just.  Like.  This.

Imagine the fear…

If… you know.  He was a Malinois or GSD or Doberman.

And…Mr. Bear was your arm.

And…he didn’t have cute freckles….

OTHERWISE it’s a totally accurate depiction of a heroic take-down!

Beautiful colors and another design to use scraps of the DSP. That total glare, let alone the sharp teeth that accompany it—I give up! I’ll get that set! lol
