Stampin’ Up! Explore Dream Discover Next Destination Card

Good morning – happy Tuesday!  When you get this – we’ll be on the way to drop Finn at CAMP.  Yes – it’s THAT early.  Then we’ll come home – feed the pony one last time – take a shower and then do a little dithering and tidying up and dithering and then…we’ll be off!  Yikes – I can’t believe it’s finally here!  Ireland – here we come! 🎉🎉🎉

The card I made today just seemed too perfect to NOT post!  It uses the Next Destination stamp set – and a few other STAPLES (ie: things you NEED in your toolbox!).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the MFT Sketch challenge this week!

And the colors are from The Card Concept photo (195b) – I’d say this is in the Clean-and-Layered style!

And I also played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  I went on the diagonal (masculine – free – sqaure) and across the bottom (brown – brads/metallic – sqaure)

I started by embossing a piece of Early Espresso cardstock in the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I cut it into three sections which I adhered to a Pool Party mat with Liquid Glue.

I cut a polka-dot piece of Vellum Basics Specialty DSP which I adhered to the card front with some Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped three of the fun images from the Next Destination stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock.  I cut out the backpack with the Next-to-largest Stylish Shapes square die, the travel book with the next-to-smallest Nested Essentials banner die and the ticket/sunglasses with the next-to-smallest Nested Essentials rectangle.

I adhered the three shapes to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Pool Party cardstock, I stamped the Next Destination sentiment in Early Espresso ink.  I used Paper Snips to cut the sentiment into three separate words.

I popped the three words in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals – added some coppery Neutrals Adhesive-backed Sequins and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Next Destination sentiment in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel.  In the corner I stamped the camera box in Crumb Cake ink.  I added a few more of the Neutrals Adhesive-backed Sequins, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and then into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the camera case on the front in Crumb Cake ink…

…and I used a little Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP in Early Espresso on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Perfect for leaving on a jet plane day, huh??  Next Destination is a fun way to wish someone Bon Voyage or Happy Retirement or Enjoy the Next Chapter of your life!
