My card today has nothing to do with EITHER of those catalogs! 😂😂😂. I’m looking ahead again to what comes NEXT! On 2 May, you’ll be able to pick up the new Fresh as a Daisy DSP – I’m actually fixin’ to buy my SECOND pack of it already!! Love it so much! You can also get the pretty new Seasonal Branches set. The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!
I started with a piece of the gorgeous Fresh as a Daisy DSP that I matted on Lemon Lolly (I can’t help it, y’all – I’m on a mission to use this wunnermus new color with EVERY other color we have!! 🤷♀️🤷♀️).
Then I placed a square of Basic White over a square mat of Copper Clay cardstock and ran them both thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the largest Stylish Shapes circle die in place. It took a few trips back and forth to cut the double layer – but the end result was the circle cut right thru both pieces!
I adhered the two pieces together and then to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Seasonal Branches branch image and the bird image in Pecan Pie ink. I also stamped the berries image in Boho Blue. Then I cut them all out with their matching Seasonal Branches dies.
I colored the bird with the Light Lemon Lolly and Light Boho Blue Stampin’ Blend. The berries are all colored in Light Boho Blue and then I added Dark Boho Blue to a few berries to add a little oomph.
I adhered the berries to the branch with Liquid Glue then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the Seasonal Branches sentiment in Boho Blue ink on Lemon Lolly cardstock and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die. I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I tucked the bird under the sentiment – adhering it with a Dimensional.
I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Seasonal Branches in Boho Blue on a Basic White panel. In the corner I added the branch in Pecan Pie and the berries in Boho Blue. Then I colored the berries with the Light and Dark Boho Blue Stampin’ Blends. I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies – cuz I love them and I could! 🤙🤙
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Copper Clay mat and into the Lemon Lolly card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the branch and berries on the front…
…and more of the Fresh as a Daisy DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! It’s like the Fresh as a Daisy DSP was just MADE for pairing with the Seasonal Branches Bundle, don’t you think? Every card I make with this DSP – and there’s a few more in the pipeline! – makes me just love it more!!
