Good morning, y’all! How goes your weekend? We’ve stuck pretty close to home – Wayne’s been re-arranging in his workshop and I’ve been spending time in the craft room! Finn has been….doing Finn stuff! Mostly sleeping….🤷♀️
I made a Springy-Summery fun fold for you today – it’s one of my fave folds – the top-book-easel. It’s super easy and very fun for your recipient to get AND display! This one sports a veritable GARDEN of the world’s most adorable-est daisies from the Dainty Delight bundle – all atop gorgeous new Countryside Inn DSP. I grabbed a couple of great sentiments from the new Lasting Joy stamp set, too. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge.
I started by scoring a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock at 5 1/2″, 6 3/4″ and 8 7/8″. I folded the 5 1/2″ score line as a “valley” – then the 6 3/4″ as a “mountain” – and the 8 7/8″ score as a “valley”. I burnished each of the score lines with a bone folder.
Next – I used Liquid Glue between the 5 1/2″ and 6 3/4″ scores – and used that to adhere the front and back of the card base together to form the book fold.
I adhered a narrow strip of Countryside Inn DSP (coming on 2 May in the new catalog!) to a Lemon Lolly mat. Then I used Glue Dots to adhere a length of new Boho Blue 3/8″ Textured Ribbon (avail 2 May). I used a smaller length of the ribbon to create a “faux bow” – tying a simple overhand knot around the ribbon.
Then I adhered the matted and be-ribboned panel to the small section of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I matted another piece of Countryside Inn DSP on Lemon Lolly to make the easel portion of the card front.
Using the small flower die in the Dainty Delight die set – I cut out 10 Boho Blue and 10 Basic White flowers. I used small pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere seven of the white flowers to seven of the Boho Blue flowers. The final three are assembled using Liquid Glue.
I adhered nine of the flowers to the easel using Liquid Glue. The two under the sentiment are flowers that were assembled with Liquid Glue. 
I stamped a sentiment from Lasting Joy in Boho Blue on a piece of Basic White, matted it on Lemon Lolly cardstock and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
There’s a bunch of Granny Apple Green leaves – all cut with the Daisy Delight dies – tucked under some of the flowers with Liquid Glue.
I added large Lemon Lolly Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the center of the flowers – and a few to the sentiment – and the easel was done.
For the inside, I stamped a piece of Basic White cardstock with a sentiment from Lasting Joy in Boho Blue ink. Then I matted the panel on Lemon Lolly and adhered it to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.
A sentiment from Dainty Delight is stamped in Boho Blue on a piece of Basic White. I matted it on Lemon Lolly and then popped it into place as the easel stop for the card. I adhered the final daisy (one assembled with Liquid Glue) to the easel with Liquid Glue. Then I added another couple of Granny Apple Green leaves with Liquid Glue.
Using Liquid Glue on just the bottom panel of the card front – see the diagram above! – I adhered the card front – and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the wildflower image from Dainty Delight twice in Lemon Lolly ink on the front…
…and more of the Countryside Inn DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Lemon Lolly is becoming a bit of a problem for me – I MIGHT be kind of addicted to it – but…look at how gorgeous it is paired with the Countryside Inn DSP!! I mean…am I right?? Dainty Delight – available RIGHT NOW and carrying into the new catalog – YEAH!! – is for sure one of my faves. Those daisies!! And – the new Lasting Joy set is a wonderful source for great sentiments!! 🙂
