Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Citrus Biggest Squeeze Thank You Card

Good morning and welcome back to the work week!  Hope you had a great weekend and stayed warm and dry!

Today’s card will make you think of summer on the porch with a cold glass of lemonade (hard or otherwise!) and a cool breeze wafting.  It features the Sweet Citrus bundle and some Twigs & Sprigs embossing!  In one of my fave color palettes ever!  Take a look-see:

The layout was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by embossing a piece of Basic White cardstock in the Twigs & Sprigs Hybrid Embossing Folder and matting it on Granny Apple Green cardstock for the card front.

Next is a piece of Polished Pink dotted paper from the 2021-2023 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP, also matted on Granny Apple Green and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the “rind” image and then the “pulp” image from Sweet Citrus in Daffodil Delight ink.  I also stamped the four-flower image twice in Polished Pink and three leaf images in Granny Apple Green.  Then I cut them all out with the matching dies in the Sweet Citrus die set.

I started by adhering the lemons with Liquid Glue.  Tip: use the glue near the middle of each die cut – that way you can slip your leaves up underneath them!

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the Sweet Citrus sentiment in Polished Pink and cut it out with the smallest of the narrow dies in the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Then I popped it over the lemons with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tucked the leaves in with Liquid Glue and then added the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue.

I finished off the flowers with a Pale Papaya gem from the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped a second Sweet Citrus sentiment in Polished Pink on a Basic White panel and then added a leaf in Granny Apple Green.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Polished Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the simple Granny Apple Green leaf on the front…

…and more of the 2021-2023 In Color DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I can practically smell the tart lemons can’t you?!? The way the two-step image in Sweet Citrus works makes perfect lemons – or limes!  Or even an orange.  And – I saw someone use it to make coconuts! I also love the organic touch of texture from the Twigs & Sprigs Hybrid Embossing Folder!
