Stampin’ Up! Marigold Moments on Regency Park Sneak Peek Mother’s Day Card

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  Hope your first week of 2023 is going well!

Two admin things – this is the LAST DAY for two big things.  First – it’s the last day to get signed up for my new Jan – Apr 2023 Mini Catalog Shares!  We’ve got gorgeous new papers – and this is a great chance to try it all out before you buy it all! 🙂  And the second thing that ends today is the Stamp-N-Storage After Christmas Sale!  This is a fiscally sweet way to save some money while working on that “organize my craft room” New Year’s Resolution!! 🙂

Okey dokey – speaking of new goodies.  We were – remember?? I pulled out yet another new product from the Jan – Apr 2023 Mini – it’s the Marigold Moments bundle!  If you love marigolds – and who doesn’t?!? – then this is a bundle you’re going to want!  And – you’ll want to grab some Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP and the Something Fancy die set while you’re at it.  Take a look-see!

The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch at the MFT Stamps challenge this week.

I started by embossing a Basic White panel in the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder and adhering it to a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock to create the card front.

Then I matted a strip of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP on a Balmy Blue mat and adhered it to the side of the panel with Liquid Glue.

I used the dies in the cool Marigold Moments bundle…

…to cut some flowers and leaves.  The leaves – I cut three – are all Garden Green.  For the flowers, I made a combination of Sweet Sorbet and So Saffron cardstocks…

…and adhered the detailed die cuts to their corresponding solid die cuts using Liquid Glue.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the leaves and layered flowers to the card front.

I cut a strip of So Saffron cardstock and one from another design from the Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP – using my Paper Snips, I cut angled ends on both strips – and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock, I stamped the Marigold Moments sentiment in Night of Navy and cut it out with a Something Fancy die (this is another new and amazing product coming on 5 Jan!).  Then I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some gold Adhesive-backed Milky Dots (coming on 5 Jan – they’re part of the Regency Park Suite of products in the new catalog) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Marigold Moments sentiment in Night of Navy ink.  In the corner, I stamped a pretty three-step marigold – first I stamped the detailed image in Sweet Sorbet, then I stamped over it with the solid image in So Saffron.  Finally, I stamped the leaves/stems image in Garden Green!  A gold Adhesive-backed Milky Dot finished it off!

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and into my Sweet Sorbet card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the pretty stamped marigold on the front…

…and more of the Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – if you’re a gardener, then you probably love marigolds as much as I do!  They’re gorgeous – they help keep pests away – they come in so many colors it’s crazy – and they’re totally selfless.  They just go and go and go!  So this Marigold Moments bundle is going to be so much fun to use – let your marigold imagination run wild!  And – Regency Park DSP is beautiful, beautiful paper – making a perfect base for these gorgeous flowers!!

Hi Mary…..I agree that is a totally beautiful card!! I was given seeds for a butterfly garden for Christmas….just checked and no Marigolds…..maybe butterflies aren’t drawn to it.
I haven’t been able to be notified of new comments here on your blog….don’t know why…

    • stampsnlingers

They DID come to the marigolds and the bees LOVED them! But – the ZINNIAs were like CRACK to them both! Thanks, Faith -and…I’m not sure how to fix the comments issue! 🙁
