Okay – on to the card – I know that’s why you’re really here. And to see Finn – but…that’s another story entirely! Today I pulled the new Playing in the Rain bundle and coordinating Rain or Shine Specialty DSP to make a sweet little card based on a sample in the new catalog. Take a look-see:
I started by embossing a full card-front size piece of Sahara Sand in the new Raindrops Embossing Folder and adhering it to the front of a Sahara Sand card base with Liquid Glue.
The frame, from the Fabulous Frames Die set – is cut from an adorable piece of Rain or Shine Specialty DSP. I adhered the frame to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then, I slid the negative piece into the “hole” and adhered it back in place with Liquid Glue. That’s the BACK of the Mango Melody gingham paper that the frame was cut from!
I used the die in the Playing in the Rain die set to cut out a Basic White bridge – and adhered it to the front of the card with Liquid Glue on each end.
I fussy cut the ADORABLE turtle from one of the pieces of the Rain or Shine Specialty DSP. Then I slipped him “onto” the bridge and adhered him in place with Liquid Glue.
I cut a Soft Suede “stump” and some grasses from Old Olive (three) and Mossy Meadow (two) using the dies in the set. I popped the stump in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the grasses in with Liquid Glue.
The sentiment, from Playing in the Rain, is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Balmy Blue and cut with the largest Stylish Shapes banner. I measured to find how long I wanted and cut the end of the banner off – it happened to be at 2 1/4″! 🙂
I adhered it in place with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On Basic White cardstock, I stamped the cute Playing in the Rain clouds – there’s three on a single stamp – in Smoky Slate. I colored them with the Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil and used my Water Painter to smooth out the swirls. Then I cut them with the Playing in the Rain die and adhered them with Dimensionals.
I added some Loose Daisy Embellishments with little dabs of Liquid Glue and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the little Playing in the Rain flowers in Mossy Meadow – and colored them with the Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil. I added some “rain” in Balmy Blue and the clouds in Smoky Slate (and colored them with the Watercolor Pencil and Water Painter!).
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mango Melody mat and into the Sahara Sand card base – and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little rainy day scene on the front…
…and a little more of the so-pretty Rain or Shine Specialty DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! I love love love this Rain or Shine Suite! The DSP is so stinkin’ pretty and the coordinating Playing in the Rain bundle is adorable (and…it cuts out so many of the cute images on the DSP – something I really appreciate!). I also love embossing folders and this Raindrops EF is the coolest! And. Daisies. Loose Daisies Embellishments. Awww – my fave!

We’re used to the Velcro-boy bringing sticks and leaves and burrs and stickers and sand and grass and water and….well, you get the picture…into the house with him!
But THIS is the biggest one I’ve ever seen him drag in!
It was as big as my hand!
He’s headed to the groomer today – hopefully he’ll be a little less….velcro-y….. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

Finn is getting handsome today…well, more handsome! Our dogs bring in all kinds of stuff on their fur, too! Since they are low to the ground, they even pick up stuff on their bellies! It’s a constant battle to keep the floors clean. 🙂
