Good morning, my peeps! How goes your week?
So…did anyone catch the little clue that I hid in yesterday’s blog post? No!? Hmm. Guess I should have “bolded” it! The hint was…the Last-Chance Products Sale! I’d already told you that it might be a good idea to start gathering up the 2020-2022 In Colors – and you’ve been doing that, for sure – keep it up! My card today is…NOT from the Annual Catalog. Nope – it’s from the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini and it’s a simple stamping card. Yes – you know me – I’m all about the minimal layers – not a lot of embellishments! 😉 But – there was a challenge on the street to do “simple stamping” and I decided to give it a go! And I used the Blessings of Home set, Heart & Home DSP and the coordinating Heart & Home Memories & More Cards and Envelopes to get it done. Take a look-see:
And here’s the challenge that challenged me! From the folks over at TGIF.
I started by using my Stamparatus to stamp the big and beautiful floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set in Basic Gray in the corner of a piece of woodgrain Heart & Home DSP.
I colored the image with my So Saffron, Petal Pink, Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent Stampin Blends Combos.
Before matting the DSP, I punched three of the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink cardstock to make the card front.
I wrapped some Linen Thread twice around the panel, securing it in the back with a little Stampin’ Seal.
Then I stamped the Blessings of Home sentiment in Soft Succulent on a piece of Basic White and cut it out with the sweet little die in the Pierced Blooms die set. Okay – full disclosure. I happened to HAVE this die cut in my “extras” bowl from the card I made the other day – so…it was line-of-sight designing! 😂
I popped the sentiment over the thread with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I used two lengths of Linen Thread to tie a little bow around the thread on the card panel.
I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies, and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Blessings of Home in Soft Succulent in the middle of a Basic White panel. Over the top, I added the smaller floral image in Basic Gray that I’d stamped off TWICE before stamping it over the sentiment. Then I added a couple more of the Brushed Brass Butterflies.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into the amazing Heart & Home Memories & More Cards and Envelopes card, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My matching envelope from the Heart & Home Memories & More Cards and Envelopes got the small Blessings of Home floral image in full-strength Basic Gray on the front…
…and absolutely NOTHING on the envelope flap. Cuz…it’s ALREADY decorated for you! 🙂 #nonekkidenvelopes
Et Voila! So quick and easy and simple! Thanks to the gorgeous florals and sentiments in the Blessings of Home set, wonderful Heart & Home DSP and the wunnermus Heart & Home Memories & More Cards and Envelopes (thanks, Amy!) – it’s easy peasy!!

Love your card design and the coloring is perfect. I like that you used the punch on the card front. I never think to do that except for the inside.

Love that card! The minimal layering is perfect and that floral image on the woodgrain is beautiful! Yeah…when I put my full face in the ice cream container, my nose gets in the way too. So I completely understand Finn’s issue. 😉
