Stampin’ Up! Friendly Ladybug Hello Daisies Birthday Card

‘Sup, y’all!?  Did you have a good weekend?  Ours was…quiet.  And…COLD!  But – I hear tell it’s winter so…I suppose cold is just part of the deal.  At least Sunday was bright and sunny and pretty! 🙂

Wanted to remind you that the latest Stamp-N-Storage 10% off Sale for the 8 week Organizing Challenge ends tonight!  So…take a look-see around your craft room and if you’re needing a Drawer Cabinet and/or Accessories, Ribbon Holders or Ribbon Shelves – today’s the day to get them! 🙂

My card today MIGHT be a result of the arrival of the first round of seed catalogs – are you getting them already, too??  I pulled out the Hello Ladybug bundle and the Daisy Lane set (plus the Medium Daisy Punch!) and some Pattern Party DSP (this is a HOST reward from the Annual Catalog!).  Take a look-see:

My layout was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

I started by matting a piece of Basic White on Poppy Parade for the card front.  The middle panel is from the very cool Pattern Party DSP (you can only get this HUGE pack of wunnermus paper with Stampin’ Rewards – I can help you with that if you’ll give me a holler!) and it’s also matted on Poppy Parade and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Hello stamp set (THIS is a cool $100-level Sale-a-Bration freebie – AND it comes with an AMAZING pack of DSP, too!) in Granny Apple Green ink.

I stamped two Hello Ladybug leaves in Granny Apple Green on some Basic White cardstock and gave them a quick fussy cut.  I also stamped some Bumblebee Daisy Lane daisies and punched them out with the Medium Daisy Punch.

I layered the first leaf onto the card front with Liquid Glue, followed by a Daisy and the second leaf.  Then I popped the final two daisies on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Hello Ladybug body in Tuxedo Black on Basic White and punched it out with the Ladybug Builder Punch.  The wings are Poppy Parade – with her spots filled in with the dots image from the set in Tuxedo Black.  They ALSO pop out with the Ladybug Builder Punch.

I lightly curled the wings with my Bone Folder and popped them onto to the body with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a little Bumblebee 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot – then popped my ladybug over top with the Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wanted some Poppy Parade bling, so I colored a few small clear Polished Dots with my Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend.  Don’t you LOVE Stampin’ Blends and all the fun things you can do with them!?? 🙂

I popped my custom-colored dots on and the card front was done! 🙂

On the inside, I stamped a Hello Ladybug sentiment in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel.  I added some Bumblebee flowers and Poppy Parade “dots” from the same set.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Hello Ladybug flowers and dots on the front…

…and more of the Pattern Party DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this color palette – don’t you?  The green-yellow-red popped on black and white is perfect and makes me think of a picnic in the Spring!  The Hello Ladybug bundle is really cool – I am a HUGE fan of punches and this Ladybug Builder Punch is so much fun.  Of course the Daisy Lane set – with the coordinating Medium Daisy Punch is a sure-fire way to add “spring” to any card!  And – if you love pretty and fun paper – then the humongous Pattern Party DSP pack is something you NEED – and available for free thru the end of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  The Friendly Hello Bundle – while ALSO free – is ONLY available thru the end of February!

If you want the Pattern Party DSP and/or the Friendly Hello Bundle for FREE – give me shout – I can help you make that happen! 🙂
