Stampin’ Up! Well Defined Festive & Bright for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The color challenge screamed “TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS” (see?  screamed!) so… I went with it!  The fun Well-Defined stamp set gave me a nice bold sentiment and I added a Christmas-y garland from the Festive & Bright Bundle.  All of it set atop some could-it-be-any-more-traditional-Christmas Heartwarming Hugs DSP!  Take a look-see:

Can you…maybe?…guess our color challenge! 😉

Cuz I’m always looking for help, I called on the sketch challenge over at TGIF Challenges for the layout.

I started with a piece of Heartwarming Hugs DSP that I matted on Early Espresso for the card front.

On a piece of Basic White, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment from the fun Well-Defined stamp set in Cinnamon Cider.

I used the largest label die in the Hippo & Friends die set to cut the sentiment – placing it so that the sentiment was near the top left side of the die cut.  Then I adhered the label to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On another piece of Basic White, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Christmas garland from Festive & Bright in Old Olive.

Using the dies in the bundled Festive Finishes die set, I cut out the garland.

I colored the Christmas lights with my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker.

I tied a bow using two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Using double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered my garland onto the card front -over the top of the bow.

I added Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the garland – and one on the sentiment – and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a sentiment from Festive & Bright in Cinnamon Cider on a Basic White panel.  Using the Stamparatus again, I stamped the garland across the bottom in Old Olive.  I colored the lights and added the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the garland and next to the sentiment.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into my Real Red cardbase, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Festive & Bright garland on the front (used that Stamparatus again!)…

…and more of the Heartwarming Hugs DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the homespun designs in the Heartwarming Hugs DSP – use this paper and you’ve got a huge head start on making a beautiful, traditional Christmas card!  Well Defined is just fun – with it’s dictionary-style sentiments that are just punny enough to be funny!  And – what can I say about the sweet little Festive & Bright Bundle?  I love the three garlands and coordinating sentiments that give you a little sumpin-sumpin for Christmas, Thank you, Fall, and Halloween!

I hope you like!
