Stampin’ Up! Well Defined Gorgeous Leaves for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

So – I saw the colors for our challenge and figured I ought to use the whole Beauty of Tomorrow Suite.  But…I decided to use a little of the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP and then go rogue and pull out the Well Defined sentiment set and…the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle.  Take a look-see:

I bet you can’t EVEN guess our color challenge! 😉

And I borrowed a sketch from the Global Design Project for the layout!

I started by matting a piece of Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP on Polished Pink for the card front.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from Well Defined in Cinnamon Cider, then I matted the panel on Polished Pink.

I cut some detailed leaves from Blackberry Bliss cardstock using the die in the Intricate Leaves die set.  While I had it out, I cut the leaf again from a piece of Gold Shimmer Vellum.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the leaf from Gorgeous Leaves in Blackberry Bliss ink and cut them with the matching Intricate Leaves die.

I snipped the stems off all the detailed leaves.

I did a dry-fit of all the pieces so that I could figure out where the leaves wanted to go on the card front.  Then I used the smaller splatter image from Gorgeous Leaves to stamp stamped-off-once Polished Pink under where the leaves would set.

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment panel to the card front.

Using more Liquid Glue, I adhered the detailed die cut leaves to the card front.  Then I popped the stamped leaves over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a Linen Thread SINGLE-loop bow and adhered it to the leaf with a Glue Dot.  This is just the first half of a Double-Loop Bow (so…wrap the thread FOUR times around FOUR fingers and then make your figure-8 and tie a piece of thread around it.  It’s Farrah’s little sister!).

I added some Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 In Color Square Gems and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added some Gorgeous Leaves in Blackberry Bliss on a Basic White panel.  Next to them is a little more of the stamped-off-once Polished Pink splatters.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Polished Pink mat and into my Cinnamon Cider card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Gorgeous Leaves leaves and splatters on the front…

…and more of the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love love love the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle and the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP – and I know y’all do, too!  But…how about the Well Defined set?  It’s kind of a fly-over – but…it’s got fun little definition sentiments for the holidays, Thank You, Winter, Christmas and Halloween (“When taking candy from strangers is good and dressing normally is strange” 😂)!

I hope you like!
