Stampin’ Up! Peace & Joy In the Pines

Good morning, y’all and welcome to the whatever-work-looks-like-for-you week!  Hope your weekend was great!

My holiday card for today uses two awesome new bundles – the Joy & Peace Bundle and the In the Pines Bundle.  I used them to make some pretty die cuts that I put atop a  little Feels Like Frost Specialty 6″ x 6″ DSP….take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

I started with a piece of Whisper White that I embossed in the new Winter Splendor Embossing Folder and matted on Balmy Blue for the card front.  Next, I cut a piece of snowflake-strewn silver/white paper from the Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP and matted it on Balmy Blue then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used a little bit of Stampin’ Seal+ to adhere a few loops of Snowflake Splendor 1/4″ Ribbon.

With the dies in the wunnermus Pine Woods die set – part of the In The Woods Bundle – I cut one large and two small solid trees from Balmy Blue.  Then I used the matching detailed tree dies to cut Whisper White trees.  I adhered them together with Liquid Glue.  Note:  yes, you COULD use Adhesive Sheets here – but…you get NO wiggle room to get the detailed die cuts positioned as you want them on the solid cuts.  Just throwing that out there! 😉

I adhered the larger tree to the card front with Liquid Glue, then stacked the smaller trees on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue.

I used two dies from the Joy Dies set to cut a “background” sentiment in Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and the thinner sentiment cut from Whisper White.  Once again – and for the same reasons! – I used Liquid Glue to adhere them together.

I used Liquid Glue – and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under the last “e” to adhere the sentiment – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Joy & Peace stamp set in Balmy Blue on a Whisper White panel.  In the bottom corner, I made a little wintery scene in Balmy Blue using the images in the In The Pines stamp set.  The “snow” and “snowflakes” are done in stamped-off-once Balmy Blue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and into my Smoky Slate card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another In The Pines wintery scene on the front…

…And more of the Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the Joy & Peace bundle – those die cut sentiments are amazing and the coordinating sentiments in the stamp set are perfect!

…and the In The Pines bundle needs no accolades from me – it’s just…amazeballs!!
