Stampin’ Up!’s Day of Service and a Paper Pumpkin Sneak Peek!!

Happy Happy Hawwwmp DAAAAAAY!!!

Hope your week is going swimmingly!

My post today is two fold – to let you know about a fun event taking place TOMORROW – that YOU can take part in!  And, for the second fold, to share a quick look at the seriously-cute May 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit called A Kit In Color (you’ll see why in a just a second).

First – tomorrow, 21 May 2020, is the Stampin’ Up! Day of Service and Sara Douglass, CEO of Stampin’ Up!, will be going live on her Facebook page at 2:00 PM MT to create 20 cards with the COVID-19 Give Back PDF and she’s inviting everyone to join her!

Here’s Sara to tell you all about it in her Facebook Live Video!

If you want to join in during the live event – here’s what you’ll need handy to make the cards with Sara:

Card bases
Designer Series Paper – any will do!
Scissors or a Paper Trimmer.
Adhesive
Embellishments
Printed copy of the Share Sunshine PDF Download (which can be purchased here for $12 US – it’s digital so you’ll have it right away!)

So that you can prep your Designer Series Paper before the event starts – here’s a PDF of the instruction/cut sheet!

If you’re unable to participate in the live craft party, the replay will be available to view any time on Sara’s Facebook page!!

Okay – fold one done! 🙂  Hope you get a chance to “hang” with Sara – she’s a lot of fun and it’s all going to a great cause!

Fold Two!  Paper Pumpkin!

My May Kit arrived yesterday and I opened it up right away. I’d heard good things about it and was anious to put the cards together!

I found a cute stamp set – and a Misty Moonlight Ink Spot!!  Whoo-hoo!!!

Plus a bunch of die cut designs, banners, CLOUDS!, twine, vellum pieces and ADORABLE puffy flowers in the new 2020-2022 In Colors (plus Purple Posy!) – with card bases and envelopes to make 8 full size cards and 4 notecards!

I got busy right quick and, about an hour later (okay – twelve twine bows sort of slowed me down.  Don’t judge!) – I had them all done!

How.  Pretty.  Are.  Those!?

This set REALLY showcases the new In Colors and lets you see how well they work together!

The first full-sized card is based on Just Jade with the pretty rainbow “postage stamp” die cut on the front!  And – do you see the flowers??  They’re sort of “puffy” and I love them!

The second full-size card has super fun clouds on a rainbow base!  And my favorite sentiment in the whole kit!

Finally, there are four notecards, with a Purple Posy base.  This one is really fun – and I kept hearing Mike Myers in my head saying “Groooovy, baby”!!! 😉

I didn’t do anything to the insides yet – I’m keeping them blank so that I can add a sentiment as I need one.  Happy Birthday.  Congratulations.  Welcome to the Team!  These are great cards – ready for any occasion!!

Here’s a quick how-to-put-it-together video!  JIC my highly detailed instructions didn’t help. 😉

This is a great kit – and…the June kit – created with lots of input from Sara herself – looks to be equally awesome!

This exclusive Sara-inspired Paper Pumpkin kit is here to help you #sharesunshine.  It includes supplies for eight handmade cards and is specially designed to help you create a box full of cheer. Once you’ve made all the cards, use any leftover pieces to decorate the box. Fill it with yellow goodies, add the included adhesive label, address it to someone special, and brighten their life with a little sunshine!

Here’s Sara again to tell you more…

And here’s the deets!

Box of Sunshine

Finn Fan Fix

Finn is a…teensy bit…of a medler.

Not a lot – I mean, he doesn’t dig in the trash.

Mostly.

Or chew things to bits.

Mostly.

Or…steal things.

Mostly.

Unless…it’s a peppermint wrapper.

And then, all bets are off.

He’s standing in the front of the tack room door, all innocent, waiting for me to let him out.

Real casual.

Whistling, even.  To throw me off.

And it almost worked.

Huh?  Wrapper? In my mouth?!?

How in the world….????

  1. When you posted this kit, I wanted it and wished I had ordered it. Well, I did but it’s being held at the p.o. in FL, duh! It is so colorful and I can’t wait to see all the alternatives. I can’t wait to get the one for June! I’m in love with the box and colors!! Finn is such a good boy to stand there patiently for his mug shot.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – that one’s going to be fun, too!! Thanks, Karen – I know you’ll have a great time with your kit when you get home! 🙂

  2. Cute kit! Love the fun colors and designs! Poor Finn…sometimes things like that just innocently stick themselves to your face and you don’t even know that it’s happened… 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – he picks up pine needles on his pantaloonies, so….are peppermint wrappers such a stretch!!? Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  3. Gerri K

Mary, I LOVE your Finn stories!!!
I am very familiar with that “What wrapper?” look.

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – he is totally innocent! Thanks, Gerri! 🙂
