Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Field Of Flowers Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I know I made you guys a card just the other day using a sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set (new in the 2020-2022 Annual Catalog coming on 3 Jun) but…I needed to use it again.  And…yeah.  I ALSO used the Field of Flowers set.  But…yep – needed to use IT again, too.  It was a moral imperative.

Not really – I just like them! 😉  Take a look-see:

Here’s our sketch – I turned it upside down!

I started with a Whisper White panel that I embossed in the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Poppy Parade for the card front.

On a smaller panel, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the grass image from Field of Flowers in Granny Apple Green ink.  Then I lightly sponged the bottoms of the grasses with Garden Green, using a Sponge Dauber, and stamped it again.

I added a couple of tall stems/leaves, also in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green.  I inked it first in Granny Apple Green, then used Garden Green on the edges of the leaves, with a Sponge Dauber.

I used the double-flower image in Field of Flowers in Poppy Parade to stamp the card front with two flowers.  Since this is a double-image stamp, I covered one of the flowers with a sticky note (so that I could stamp just one flower at a time).  🙂

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Lovely You sentiment in Daffodil Delight – then I matted the panel on Poppy Parade.

On a seperate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the double-flower image again – twice – in Poppy Parade and fussy cut the flowers.  I also stamped the five-flower image twice – once in Highland Heather and once in Daffodil Delight.  Then I used the bundled Confetti Flowers Border Punch to punch out all of the little flowers.

I wrapped a length of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Ruched Ribbon around the panel, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.  Then I wrapped a short piece around it, tying it snugly to create a “faux bow”.

I adhered all my cut flowers, using a combination of Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally, I added some dragonflies from the Field of Flowers set in Pool Party ink, popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to add a second Lovely You sentiment in Daffodil Delight to a Whisper White panel.  I also stamped another couple of Field of Flowers stems and flowers in Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather.  A few Pool Party dragonflies finished it off.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Field of Flowers flowers on the front…

…and on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  I mean, really?  Is it any wonder that I wanted to use the gorgeous Field of Flowers set again?  That grass border has just been calling my name and – I don’t know what those big flowers are, but…I LOVE them!  Handy that you can also cut out a bevy of sweet little blossoms with the bundled Confetti Flowers Border Punch, too!

I am also smitten by the sweet sentiments and wonderful fonts – plus flower and leaf images! – in the Lovely You stamp set!

You’re My Person.  Pretty much says it all, right?  But – if that doesn’t do it for you – there’s 10 others that will! 🙂

I hope you like!
