Stampin’ Up! Birthday Bonanza Buddies Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out another new bundle (coming to you on 3 Jan 20 in the new Jan-Jun Mini Catalog!) – the Bonanza Buddies bundle and some of the super cute Birthday Bonanza DSP – to make today’s birthday card.  I think this one will be great for a kid…or a kid-at-heart!  Take a look-see:

I started with some balloon-strewn paper from the Birthday Bonanza DSP and matted it on Mango Melody for the card front.  Another of the designs – also matted on Mango Melody – is next up, added with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the fun sentiment from the Bonanza Buddies stamp set in Terracotta Tile on a small Whisper White rectangle.  Then I matted it on Mango Melody and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I used the two banner dies from the Bonanza Dies (bundled with the Bonanza Buddies stamp set!) to cut a couple of Birthday Bonanza DSP banners.  I adhered these to the sentiment panel with Liquid Glue.

The fun Toucan….is actually cut FROM a piece of the DSP – with a Die in the Bonanza Dies!  How cool is that?!?  Note:  there are two other dies in the set that cut a lion and a koala from the DSP, too! 🙂

I adhered the Toucan with Liquid Glue.

The lion I stamped with the two-step images in the Bonanza Buddies set.  First, I stamped the mane and tip-of-the-tail in Terracotta Tile.  I also stamped the lion in Daffodil Delight and added his face in Tuxedo Black.  Then I cut them all out with the matching dies.  I adhered the body to the sentiment with Liquid Glue.  Then I added the tail-tip.

I stamped two birthday hats – one in Coastal Cabana and one in Terracotta Tile and cut them with their matching die.  I stuck the Coastal Cabana hat onto the lion and then popped the head on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I popped the Terracotta Tile hat onto the Toucan with Dimensionals.  Then I used Liquid Glue to add some Assorted Pompoms (from the Birthday Bonanza Suite!).  The bow is a Bermuda Bay Metallic Baker’s Twine (from the Metallic Baker’s Twine and Sequins Combo Pack  – a $50-Level Reward in the Sale-A-Bration Flyer starting on 3 Jan).  It’s a loose double-loop bow – adhered with a Glue Dot.

To finish off – I used dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere a few sequins from the Combo Pack – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Bonanza Buddies sentiment in Terracotta Tile on Whisper White.  Then I added a birthday hat in Coastal Cabana.  I stamped the lion – first the mane and tail-tip in Terracotta Tile, the body and head in Daffodil Delight and the face in Tuxedo Black.  I added a die cut birthday hat and some more Pompoms!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mango Melody mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the sweet Bonanza Buddies lion on the front…

…and more of the balloon-DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How fun is this Bonanza Buddies stamp set and bundled Bonanza Dies!?  I love it when dies cut out images in a coordinating paper like these do with the Birthday Bonanza DSP, don’t you?!!  The whole Birthday Bonanza Suite is too much fun!  I hope you like!
