Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Sentimental Sneak Peek

Happy Happy HAWWWMP DAY!!!  Or – considering the time of year – Happy Happy ONE WEEK UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!

All my packages are mailed.  Yes, I said it.  All my Christmas is mailed that needed to be mailed.  AND I didn’t even have to pay a million dollars just to get things there near Christmas!  Whaaaa??!  Guess this retirement thing is kinda handy! 🙂

My card for today brings you another sneak peek of the 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog.  This one showcases a wonderful bundle called So Sentimental – with a stamp set of the same name and the wonderful Stitched So Sweetly Die – and more Peaceful Poppies DSP and some of the new Peaceful Poppies Elements.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s TGIF Challenge.

I started with some beautiful striped paper from the Peaceful Poppies DSP (coming on 3 Jan 20!) that I matted on Poppy Parade card stock for the card front.

Then I cut a Poppy Parade rectangle – with stitching and scallops! – using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly set.  I can already tell this is going to be POPULAR die set!  I cut a second – smaller – rectangle from the same Peaceful Poppies DSP design and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

Using my Light Old Olive and Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends – I colored a few of the embossed leaves from the Peaceful Poppies Elements.  The vieining in the leaves is embossed – so it creates an emboss-resist look!  Then I adhered those – and some of the Poppies from the set – with Liquid Glue.

Using my Stamparatus – and the marker-to-rubber inking technique (color the stamp directly with a Stampin’ Write Marker) – I stamped the So Sentimental sentiment in Old Olive and Poppy Parade.

Then I cut it with another die in the Stitched So Sweetly set and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with two pieces of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used Liquid Glue to adhere another of the Peaceful Poppies Elements flowers to a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Flirty Flamingo card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Peaceful Poppy Elements flower on the front…

…and more of the Peaceful Poppies DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Boy – this So Sentimental Bundle is WONDERFUL…

…with its beautiful sentiments and perfectly sized label and rectangle dies!  I love it and predict it is going to be a GO-TO! And there’s simply no denying the stunning gorgeous-ness of the Peaceful Poppies DSP and those awesome elements!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Some mornings, Finn is REALLY not ready to get up when I do.

Please notice the wide open gate.  To be fair – it’s actually pretty dark in the room – I lightened the photo so you could see him.

He glanced over his shoulder at me when I opened the gate and then…laid his head right back down.  Not sure he even woke all the way up!

When he FINALLY did rouse himself to meander out to the living room – when he heard me on the treadmill….he got real busy.

Contemplating deep thoughts.

Solving world problems.

Considering the merits of his various toys.

Nah – he’s just resting his chin on his toy-bed…back asleep.

Why – oh why! – does the Mom get us up so danged early?!?

  1. Oh, love that card! The design is perfect and your layering is fantastic! I’m with Finn…why would anyone get up that early voluntarily??? 😉

    • stampsnlingers

I don’t usually mind being UP – I do mind getting on the treadmill. It’s pure habit now cuz I sort of hate it. 😉 Thanks much, Amy! 🙂

  2. The striped paper can grow on one when it’s combined with the beautiful layering of Poppy Parade. Finn needs nothing to grow on one 🙂

Love how you layered the dies to look like a frame!!! Your card is just beautiful!!!

  4. Stephanie Atterbury

Absolutely gorgeous!!! Great use of the Designer paper and the label and everything!
