I’ve got a cute little 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog and 2020 Sale-A-Bration Flyer sneak peek for you today.  This set is one I wanted the INSTANT I saw it in the catalog – it’s the Honey Bee Bundle – with the Detailed Bee Dies.  AND – there’s awesome Golden Honey Bee Specialty DSP in the Sale-A-Bration flyer – which means…FREE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER!!  Yikes!!  Take a look-see:

The layout – and a few elements (if you look close, you’ll see what I mean!) in this one – are from this week’s FUSION challenge.

And the color scheme is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with some of the beautiful gold-foil-accented Golden Honey Specialty DSP that I matted on Bermuda Bay for the card front.

On a smaller rectangle of Whisper White, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the curved sentiment from the Honey Bee stamp set (coming on 4 Jan 20!) in Bermuda Bay.  Then I cut out the beehive shape, using the die in the bundled Detailed Bee Die Set.

I used the honeycomb die from the set and cut a couple from a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper.

I used a piece of Daffodil Delight paper from the new Birthday Bonanza DSP (also coming on 4 Jan 20!) behind the beehive.  I adhered the Gold Glimmer honeycomb with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the Whisper White panel over top with more Liquid Glue.

On scrap Whisper White, I stamped the large bee and two small bees in Tuxedo Black -and cut them out with their matching die from the Detailed Bee Die set.

Yes – you heard me.  Dies.  That.  Cut.  Bees.

Whaaaaa!??!  How AWESOME is that?!? 🙂

Answer: VERY freakin’ awesome!

I colored their bodies with my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker and the wings with my Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.  I brushed Clear Wink of Stella over the wings, too.

I used the marker-to-rubber technique to color the two flower images – Pear Pizzazz for the stems and leaves and Daffodil Delight for the flowers.  This technique is made SO much easier with the Stamparatus – it means you can stamp over the image as many times as you need!  I cut the flowers with their matching dies.  And some Gold Glimmer hearts, too!

I adhered the flowers and hearts and the right-most little bee with Liquid Glue.  Then I added the second small bee and the large guy with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added some Pear Pizzazz “faux stitches” with my Stampin’ Write Marker and the card was done!

On the inside, I added a stamped-off-once Daffodil Delight beehive from the Honey Bee set in the center of a Whisper White panel.   Over top, I added a second sentiment in Bermuda Bay.  Then I added a single flower – once again using the marker-to-rubber technique.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bermuda Bay mat and into my Pear Pizzazz card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a full-strength Daffodil Delight beehive on the front – plus a couple of little Tuxedo Black bees…

…and some more of the Golden Honey Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  You guys – I was TOTALLY right to covet this set when I saw it!  The Honey Bee stamp set is adorable – and the bundled Detailed Bee Dies cut.  Out.  BEES!  Like…bee-legs.  And bee-antenna.  NO fussy cutting!  Whoo-hoo!!  Add in the Golden Honey Specialty DSP (that you’ll be able to pick up for free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order before shipping and tax!  I hope you LIKE – add this one to your Wish List as soon as your catalog arrives.  It’s on page 30.  Just sayin’! 😉
