Good morning! Hope your weekend is going well!
If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me! If not, but you’d like to see how to make today’s card, you can check out the replay right here on YouTube!
I played with a new-to-me set called Sweetly Swirled to make a Fall-ish thank you card. Not sure why “Fall” – maybe the three or four days with mornings cool enough to open the doors and windows for a few hours? Not quite Fall weather, but…pretty darned nice! Wishful thinking I guess! I paired it up with some wood-y paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:
I started with a piece of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP and adhered it to some Pumpkin Pie card stock for the card front.
I ran a strip of SNAIL across the middle of the panel and used it to adhere a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon. Then I wrapped some Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack around twice, adhering it in the back with Glue Dots.
On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the large Sweetly Swirled “wreath” in Early Espresso. Then I cut it with an oval Stitched Shapes Die.
I stamped some leaves and berries from Sweetly Swirled in Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze around the edge of the wreath, and added the sentiment in Cajun Craze.
On a seperate piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped some flowers, berries, leaves and…orange slices??…using Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks and daubing a couple of them with Cajun Craze using a Sponge Dauber.
Then I pulled up my big girl Paper Snips and got to fussy cutting! 😉
Once I had everything cut out to my exacting standards (LOL), I used Liquid Glue and Dimensionals to adhere them to the edge of the wreath.
I tied a Double-Loop bow from the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Sweetly Swirled in Cajun Craze in the center of a Very Vanilla panel. I added another wreath – this time in stamped-off-once Early Espresso. Then I decorated it with more flowers, leaves, berries, and fruit!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pumpkin Pie mat and into my Cajun Craze card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Sweetly Swirled wreath on the front…
…and the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love the sweet wreaths that can be built using this Sweetly Swirled stamp set! SO much easier than ACTUALLY making a grapevine wreath, yes?? 🙂 And – it can be totally seasonal – just change up the colors and you’re in Spring, Summer or even Winter! I hope you like!

Do YOU Like to Pay Taxes on Your Goodies?!?
Me, neither!
If you love holidays—and don’t love taxes—we have some great news for you! Twelve U.S. states will have sales tax holidays for school supplies over the next several weeks. The dates for each state’s sales tax holiday will vary; the definition of “school supplies” will also vary from state to state. Fortunately, a selection of Stampin’ Up! products qualify as school supplies and will be tax-free during each state’s sales tax holiday period. (Sales tax holidays may not apply to additional county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.)
If you live in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or Wisconsin (whoo-hoo!) —click the picture below to see which products will be tax-free for each state ! HINT: TENNESSEE this is your last day to save!
Important Note: Orders must be placed with Stampin’ Up! during the sales tax holiday period to receive these select items tax free; each period begins—and ends—at midnight (Mountain Time).
