Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Blooming Tag Sneak Peek

Good morning! As you read this, I’m making my way towards a super-fun meeting in Huntsville.

Did the sarcasm come thru?

Yes?  Good – just checking.

True statement – I’d rather have surgery.  I am totally not kidding or exaggerating.  At least I could SLEEP thru surgery! 🙁

Okay.  Whining aside.  It’s only three days.  Two driving.  One meeting.  I can do anything for three days.

Right?

So – let’s talk about something completely different….a pretty card!  I used some of my favorite new product suite – the Perennial Essence Suite  (which you can pick up as part of my Special Bundle #4 – check it out down below) – including the Floral Essence stamp set and gorgeous Perennial Essence DSP – and the fun new Delightful Tag Topper Punch.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from the sketch side of this week’s FUSION challenge.  And nope – not a hedgehog nor scooter to be seen on my card! 🙂

I started with some Petal Pink paper from the Perennial Essence DSP and matted it on Blueberry Bushel for the card front.  I added a slightly smaller piece – also matted on Blueberry Bushel – adhering it with Liquid Glue.

I adhered a Pearlized Doily – these are CARRYING OVER!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 – with more Liquid Glue.

On the same Petal Pink Perennial Essence DSP, I stamped the leaves image from Floral Essence in Mossy Meadow and cut them with the Leaf Punch (how cool is that?  A new stamp set working with the already-available Leaf Punch!!).  Then I adhered them with Liquid Glue.

On a 2″ wide strip of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Floral Essence in Blueberry Bushel ink.  I knew I wanted to make a tag – that would be placed on an angle on the card front – so I made sure to stamp the sentiment so it would be “straight” as the recipient looks at it!

I stamped the pretty Floral Essence flower in Petal Pink ink over the sentiment – and then added a small flower center in Crushed Curry.

I punched the top of the strip with the new Delightful Tag Topper Punch and then created the scalloped bottom edge with one of the dies from the Budding Blooms Dies – these are all going to be available on 4 June!

I pulled some new Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon thru the hole at the top and tied it with a length of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine – then I popped the tag onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a Pearl Basic Jewel and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added more of the Floral Essence flowers in Petal Pink and Crushed Curry up the side of a Whisper White panel…

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blueberry Bushel mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Floral Essence flowers on the front…

…and a little more Perennial Essence DSP on the envelope flap.  And…another flower.  Cuz…I got a Crushed Curry smudge on the back, so…an opportunity to further ice (embellish!) my card! 😉

Et Voila!  Folks – there are so many beautiful flower images in this new catalog – and this one – the Floral Essence stamp set – is one of the prettiest!  Especially when paired up with it’s Perennial Essence DSP!  I love – and hope that you do, too!
