Happy Hawwwmp Day from Huntsville! Had a good day yesterday – got here safely. Got my work done and a new work computer (YEAH!!), got a really good mani/pedi and then had dinner with an old friend. Followed by Handels Homemade Ice Cream.
Oh my goodness, y’all – if you happen to have a Handels anywhere near you…GO.
GO NOW.
Oh my goodness.
Yes – I know I said that twice. It’s merited! 😉 I was a little too full (read…full as a tick!) but…SOOO worth it!
My card for you today uses the wonderful new Daisy Lane stamp set – and the Daisy Punch (which you can – and SHOULD – get right this very minute if you don’t have it already! 🙂 ) I put my daisies on some Perennial Essence DSP and added a Well Written die cut sentiment. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one comes from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge
The colors come from the Just Us Girls inspiration photo.
The As You See It theme challenge gave me the idea to put TWO flowers on the front – and the inside….
Finally – paper flowers was the inspiration at TGIF Challenges.
I started with some pretty paper from the Perennial Essence DSP and used Old Olive ink to add the leaves from Daisy Lane across the panel. Then I matted it on Poppy Parade for the card front.
I stamped a Daisy Lane sentiment in Poppy Parade on Whisper White, cut it out with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits die and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used the large flower in Daisy Lane to stamp four flowers in Early Espresso on Whisper White, then I punched them all with the Daisy Punch. I colored their petals with my Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil. With my Bone Folder, I lightly curled each petal and then adhered two flwoers together with Liquid Glue and adhered them to the card front.
I pulled out my Well Written Dies and cut three of the sentiment words in Poppy Parade, then adhered them in a stack with Liquid Glue and then to the flowers. A Rhinestone Basic Jewel and some new Perennial Essence Floral Centers finished off the card front.
I stamped more Daisy Lane flowers on a Whisper White panel in Early Espresso for the inner liner. I colored them with my Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry Watercolor Pencils.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Daisy Lane flower on the front…
….and I stamped more Perennial Essence DSP with the Daisy Lane flower in Old Olive, then added it to the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Daisy Delight was a strong fave in the 2018-2019 Catalog and this Daisy Lane is headed that way! I love that it uses a punch we can already get PLUS it’s bundled with a NEW Medium Daisy Punch! Wow! Hope you like.

Don’t worry though, you’re going to save enough money buying this group of goodies to be able to get Purple Posy just as soon as it’s available! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix
You know, when I was in Baltimore, I really did have pretty much everything I needed to stamp and create cards to my hearts content.
My stamp sets and inks. Dies and Big Shot. Trimmer and adhesives. Enough space.
But I was missing one important piece.

I like it A LOT! Love the way the “friend” draws in the mat. Great design, wonderful colors. Winner, winner but you miss Finner.
LOL!!! I DO miss Finner! Thanks for the chuckle and the kind words, Karen! 🙂
Such a pretty card! Love the colors and the layout is perfect! Yep, you’ll have to see if you can get Finn set up as an “emotional support animal” for your next trip. 😉
I really should! He’d have been happy as a clam today snoozing with all the people around! They’d have all petted him at the breaks and he’d have been charming and sweet. And then maybe played in the fountain outside! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
Wow! You rocked the challenges today–four of them!–with a great card! I love that thick “friend” across the daisies. Good color choices. TFS>
Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂
What a lovely card, Mary. I love the depth of colour you’ve achieved in your daisies by stamping in Early Espresso and then colouring with a pencil. Fabulous. The way you’ve layered them up and framed them really makes them sing. Thank you for joining in with us at As You See It for our 200th challenge.
Thanks very much for the kind words, Jan – and…CONGRATULATIONS (and THANK YOU!) on 200 challenges!! 🙂
Love your card and Love ice cream too! It’s part of the 4 major fruit groups in this house. Love the inside, the background, and the matching envelope. Whoever receives this card is going to love it! Thanks for sharing your talents with us at Just Us Girls.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you stopping by – and…if there’s a Handels in your area…GO! 🙂
Mary, those two daisies really pack a punch, (kind of like the ice cream) with the depth of colour you’ve used. I love that DSP you’ve created, too! Thanks for helping us celebrate our 200th Challenge at As You See It Challenges!
Thank you so much! And congrats on the anniversary! 🙂
Love your card, especially the background you created with the DSP and leaf stamp. Super pretty!!!
Thanks – it’s gorgeous paper and a wonderful stamp set! 🙂 Appreciate the nice words! 🙂
4 challenges??? Wow! I can hardly do one. This is a beautiful card in many ways. Best of all, to me, is the way you added such depth to the flowers by using Early Espresso to stamp, then colored the petals. Gorgeous.
Thanks very much, Julie! I LOVE those flowers and the new Daisy Lane reminded me of that! 🙂
