Stampin’ Up! Sweet & Sassy Sure Do Love You!

Mornin’, y’all.  Hope you made it thru Friday and are into a nice weekend!

Appreciate all the well-wishes yesterday – it’s nice having so many folks who care about my well-being!  And glad so many of you snapped up the free shipping! 🙂

My card today is a quick and easy Valentine’s card – or just a little card to send to someone you love!  It’s got hearts – thanks to the Sweet & Sassy Framelits and the Sure Do Love You bundle.  And pretty pretty Painted With Love DSP!  Take a look-see:

The elements and the layout are from this week’s Fusion challenge.

And the sweet color scheme is from the FabFriday challenge!

I started with a panel of Whisper White card stock and brought the horizontal and vertical elements from the sketch photo into it with the new Simple Stripes TIEF.  I embossed the panel once horizontally, then I flipped the card stock over (so I was debossing) and ran it back thru, this time with the embossed stripes running vertically.  Notice I only did that on the left third-or-so of the panel.  Then I Fast Fuse’d it to a Powder Pink mat.

I cut some heart frames with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits.  The two larger frames are from some Melon Mambo and Powder Pink design papers in the Painted With Love Specialty DSP.  I cut the larger hearts and then used the framelit that was two sizes smaller to cut the middle and create the frame.  The smallest heart is cut from a piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock.  For that one, I also cut a second heart (without cutting out the middle) from a solid Gold part of the Painted With Love Specialty DSP paper – then I adhered the two together with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the two larger hearts to the card front with Liquid Glue and popped the small heart on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut two Whisper White leaf shapes with the dies in the Lots to Love Box Framelits and adhered them to the small heart.  Then I tied a small bow with some Powder Pink Mini Tinsel Trim and stuck it on with a Glue Dot.

For the sentiment from the Sure Do Love You stamp set, I stamped it in Melon Mambo on Whisper White and cut each word.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front.  A Gold Metallic Enamel Shape finished off the card front.

On the inside, I simply added one of the conversation hearts from Sure Do Love You in Melon Mambo to the center of a Whisper White panel.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Powder Pink mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got two conversation hearts from Sure Do Love You in Melon Mambo on the front…

…and I added more of the Painted With Love Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Simple and easy, huh?  Quick little heart frames and some sweet sentiments from the Sure Do Love You stamp set!  Hope you like! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Today was house-keeper day!  Finn loves house-keeper day, cuz he looooooovvvves Miss Sonya!

We always have to do the pre-housekeeper-coming-tidying-up.  And – Finn tries his darnedest to help.  Even without thumbs.

Seriously.  Who needs thumbs if you’ve got a little bit of height…and a tongue?! 🙂

It takes perseverance, folks.  The struggle is real! 😉

I love your card. I really like those framelits. I have the older ones, I like these much better. I really like the way you did the embossing, looks great. I’m going to have to try that. And I love the colors together.

  2. Very pretty card. I think I’m gonna have to get me some of that DSP and tinsel! Hope you are feeling better and have a good weekend.

  3. Such a sweet card Mary! Love those hearts with the touches of gold and your background is so cool! Thanks for joining us at Fab Friday, hope to see you again soon!

Mary, I love this little collection of hearts – the touches of gold add so much to this paper… Sweet texture for the background, too! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

That gold really shines–and I like shiny! Good pictures to show it off! Glad you’re feeling better. Is Finn cleaning or was there food on there he was helping himself to? 😂 Helper either way!

    • Yes and yes. We’d just had dinner and there was a plate there that he felt an urgent need to tidy up. He’s a bit compulsive about tidiness! 😉 Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂

  7. I love how you embossed the background! Pretty card with those gorgeous hearts! Glad you shared it at Fusion!

  8. Kate

Guess I failed to hit post this morning . 😕
    Very pretty valentine!
Sure do miss my tall Iz…even if she was busy!

    • Yea – having one that’s easy to reach to pet is kinda cool. Finn’s really the perfect size!! Not too big and not too small. Juuuuuusst right! 🙂

  9. Lovely card! Thanks for playing!

  10. Such a fun card, Mary! The layering of these hearts is such fun!

  11. What a great way to use that embossing folder! The partial grid is a really neat background. I love how you cut out the centers of the DSP hearts too for the embossing to show through! THanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
