Well – we made it! It’s Friday. And it’s a three-day weekend! And…it’s Christmas weekend! So…Yeah!!
I, since it’s Christmas, made a New Baby card today – I had my massage (finally – it’s been way too long!) today and my massage therapist has only been back at work for a week after having her daughter. So…I wanted to take her a little card.
The new Sweet Little Something stamp set (available 3 Jan) with it’s photo-realistic floppy-eared bunny, seemed like the perfect choice! Take a look-see:

Like so many of us, I do spend a little time on Pinterest and a wonderful card, from Danielle Bennenk, caught my eye. I tried to change it up a little – but…it’s so perfectly my kind of card, that…I just couldn’t improve on it! You can check out Danielle’s original right here! 🙂
This week’s Sugar Pea Designs Mix It Up Challenge seemed like a great place to showcase my card!

I started with a panel of Very Vanilla card stock and stamped it with a very faint image of the Sheet Music Background stamp. I inked the stamp around the edges with a Crumb Cake-inked Sponge Dauber. And I didn’t add a lot of ink! I wanted it faded.
Then I sponged the edges with the same Sponge Dauber and Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Crumb Cake mat.

I stamped the adorable Sweet Little Something bunny on a piece of scrap Very Vanilla. This is a three-step image and, as usual, you want to start with the darkest ink color. Step 1 is stamped in Crumb Cake. Step 2 is stamped-off-once Powder Pink. And step 3 is in stamped-off-once Blushing Bride. Then I fussy cut it and lightly sponged the cut edges with the Crumb Cake Dauber.
I adhered a loop of Blushing Bride 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon to the card front with some Liquid Glue.

I put some Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of my cut-out bunny and used them to wind some loops of Linen Thread around, then popped the whole thing over the Blushing Bride ribbon. The sentiment, from Sweet Little Something, is stamped on Very Vanilla in Crumb Cake. I snipped banners in the ends, sponged the edges with Crumb Cake, and adhered it over the bunny with Liquid Glue.
I added some little flower images from Sweet Little Something – aren’t they just too cute?!? – in Crumb Cake ink. Then, to top it all off, there’s a few Glitter Enamel Dots and a couple three Clear Faceted Gems. And the card was done!

On the inside, I repeated the very-light application of the Sheet Music image in Crumb Cake on a Very Vanilla panel. I sponged the edges and added a few more little Sweet Little Something flowers. The sentiment, stamped in Crumb Cake, is from the Flora and Flutter Paper Pumpkin stamp set (that’s really a great set, y’all!).

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Crumb Cake mat and into my Powder Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Sweet Little Something bunny peeking in on the front, plus some of the little flowers. And, since I still had the Paper Pumpkin stamp set handy, I thought an added little sentiment would be good…

…and then I added more flowers and a couple stamps of Sheet Music on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Seriously, y’all – how cute is this Sweet Little Something bunny!? And, there are so many color combinations you could use – and all would be perfect! Hope you like – and are adding this one to your list!

Finn Fan Fix
Finn and I spend a lot of time doing the pause-and-catch-up game.
It goes like this.
I’m driving the golf cart around the fence line – we’re “checking fence”. A job.
Finn is ensuring that no bugs or acorns are lurking in the leaves and bushes.
That’s a pretty time-consuming job, so I frequently have to pause, look back to see him, and then holler “Here” in my best command voice.
It’s the voice that says…now, please.
Only please is sort of…loose. 😉
He knows that voice and so he usually – like 9.5 times out of 10! – hauls his wiggle butt at light-speed to get to me and sit down by the cart.
It looks like this….

I tell myself it’s the command-voice.
Or his overwhelming desire to please me.
Reality? He wants a cookie.
I do seriously and firmly believe that he deliberately lags back so…I’ll call him so… he can race to me so…he can…and will!…get a cookie!
He’s something of a cookie-monster!
