Happy Fri-YAY, y’all!  Your weekend is almost here! Hope you have something fun planned and that “riding out or escaping Isaiahs” is not on your bingo card! 🫤

Today’s card is a super cool fun fold – I saw it on Sue Phillip’s (SuesPaperCreations) YouTube and wanted to make one of my own!  I’ve dubbed it a “Diamond Gate Fold”.  Clever – I know!  I decorated mine for Fall, using Painted Patch DSP and the coordinating Painted Pumpkin bundle.  Take a look-see:

I started with a 5 1/4″ x 12″ piece of Painted Patch DSP.  Using my Paper Trimmer, I scored on the long side at 2″ and 4″ from each end.  Using a pencil, I marked the 2 5/8″ (half-way mark) down each of the short ends.

After determining the “top” of the panel (based on the directional-ness of the DSP), I used the Paper Trimmer to cut from the top at the 2″ mark down to the 2 5/8″ mark.  I did it on both ends of the long side (top only) and saved the resulting cut off triangles.

I folded the scored lines to create the Gate fold.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the cut off triangles of Painted Patch DSP (for mine – it’s the Calypso Coral plaid) to the BOTTOM corners of each front gate panel.

Then I did the inside of the card.  On a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Painted Pumpkin sentiment in Secret Sea ink.  Next to it, I stamped the Painted Pumpkin leaf image in Pool Party ink.

I matted the panel on Petal Pink cardstock and then adhered it to the inside of the fold mechanism with Liquid Glue.

For the front, I started by stamping a Painted Pumpkin sentiment in Secret Sea ink on a 1 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.

Using Stampin’ Seal on the back of the piece of Basic White cardstock, I adhered a loop-d-loop of Secret Sea & Gold 1/4″ Satin Ribbon.

Using the next-to-smallest Scalloped Christmas Cheer die, I cut out a Petal Pink rectangle.  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment to the Petal Pink rectangle.

Using the dies in the Painted Pumpkin set, I cut three pumpkins from a piece of Painted Patch DSP.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the larger die cut pumpkins to the sentiment panel.  Then I added the smaller – front – pumpkin with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used a couple more dies from the set to cut out Pool Party leaves and a tendril and then adhered them to the pumpkins with little dabs of Liquid Glue.

Using Liquid Glue ONLY on the LEFT gate – I adhered the sentiment to the front of the folding mechanism – centering it top to bottom and side to side.

I added three Calypso Coral Painted Patch Adhesive-backed Dots to the sentiment.

Finally, I used Liquid Glue to adhere the folded mechanism to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Secret Sea cardstock and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Painted Pumpkin leaves in Pool Party on the front…

…and more of the Painted Patch DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well – this is a super cool fun fold – I love that you get to see BOTH sides of our pretty DSP like the wunnermus Painted Patch DSP – and it’s going to be lighter-weight (take THAT, Post Office!) being that the fold is in DSP – not cardstock.  The Painted Pumpkins bundle has been a fave of mine – and yours! – right from the jump – and this card further confirms that status, I think!
