Stampin’ Up! Bubble Over With Happiness

Good morning and…HAPPY HAPPY HAAAWWWWMP DAY!

Does anyone know how to really spell HAAAWWWMP Day?  I think I spell it differently every week! 😉

Today I made a quick and fun birthday card with the Bubble Over stamp set and bundled Bottles & Bubbles Framelits.  The addition of some appropriately bubbly paper from the Myths & Magic Specialty DSP brought it all home.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Bottles, Bubbles and a Picture Perfect Birthday!

Well.  Here we are!  The very last day of 2017!  Hard to believe.  When next we meet, it’ll be 2018.

Hope you have a fun evening planned.  Our will be like all the past New Year’s Eves….and will look one heck of a lot like any other night!  We sometimes wake up around midnight – but….it’s not a priority for us, for certain sure!

In case you’re wondering, I won’t be doing a video tonight – we’ll start up again in 2018.  So I’ll see you “next year”!

My card for today uses a couple of fun new stamp sets and framelits from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  I started with the Bubble Over bundle, featuring the Bubble Over stamp set and Bottles & Bubbles Framelits, and I added a sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday set.  Take a look-see:

I played along with two challenges for this one – the first is the December Designer’s Delight challenge from TGIF Challenges.

I selected Maria Willis’ card to CASE – you can check it out right here!

My color scheme is from the MFT Color Challenge this week.

I started with a Dapper Denim card base and embossed the front in the new Scattered Sequins Dynamic TIEF.

For my next panel, I cut a piece of True Gentleman DSP and Fast Fuse’d it to a Peekaboo Peach mat.

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere a Peekaboo Peach panel across the card front.  Next up – another piece of Dapper Denim, once again embossed in the Scattered Sequins Dynamic TIEF.

I inked all but the very top of the large bottle stamp from Bubble Over in Peekaboo Peach and stamped it on Very Vanilla.  Then I cut it with the matching die from the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits.  I stamped a “label” in Dapper Denim and cut it with it’s die, then adhered it over the bottle with Liquid Glue.  I also cut a round Very Vanilla piece and a Peekaboo Peach heart.  I adhered the heart to the circle with Liquid Glue and popped the whole thing on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  Then I added a Dapper Denim Enamel Shape heart.

For the Bubble Over sentiment, I stamped it in Dapper Denim on a strip of Very Vanilla.  Across the bottom, I ran a length of Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape.  I added the banner to the card front with Liquid Glue, then added the bottle with some Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. I popped the whole card front onto the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For my bubbles, I stamped the image twice on Very Vanilla in stamped-off-once Dapper Denim and cut them with the fun little bubble die in the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits then adhered them with Liquid Glue.  To finish things off, I stuck on a bunch of round shapes from the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes to the bubbles.  And added some of the teardrop shapes to the bottle – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the bubbles image again – this time stamping it off twice before stamping the center of a Very Vanilla panel. I added the sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday in Dapper Denim.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Peekaboo Peach mat and into the Dapper Denim card base and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got some more Dapper Denim bubbles on the front – I stamped the image twice without re-inking…

…and some more True Gentleman DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  When I first saw this Bubble Over set, I wasn’t really sure about it – but…it’s growing on me real quick!  I love all the bottle and label and sentiment possibilities – and the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits is so much fun!  Hope you like!

TTFN – until 2018!

Finn Fan Fix

One of the things I’ve taught Finn to do – and encouraged – is to run between my legs.  I don’t know why.  It seemed like a good idea – and fun! – at the time!

As a smart Man, he will offer to do things that he knows I like – whether I’ve asked for them or not.

All in the hope that I’ve got a cookie in my pocket.

Which, of course, I usually do!

This morning, he graced me with…

But he only went half way.  And then just stopped.  And stared off into the distance.

We may never know why! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Bubble Over Sneak Peek!

Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well! 🙂

I hope that you got your Stamparatus reserved yesterday?  I did!! Whoo-Hoo!!  Can’t wait to get it!

I had a visit today from the Big Brown Truck!  Yep – my Pre-Order arrived!  Watch for some peeks tomorrow, okay?

Speaking of peeks – sneak or otherwise – today I want to share one of the cards we made at our meeting the other day.  And introduce you to the Bubble Over bundle!

The bundle consists of the photopolymer Bubble Over stamp set…

and the matching Bottles & Bubbles Framelits…

And there’s Designer Series Paper, too.  But – guess what?  The paper – called Bubbles & Fizz – is a Sale-A-Bration item!  That’s right – when you make a purchase of $50 (before shipping and tax) you could pick this fun paper!

A fun feature is that the bottles in the Bottles & Bubbles Thinlits match – and cut out! – the bottles you can see there on that top paper!  And the same is true of the bottle caps.  Cool, huh?!

And – should you get the bundle and the paper – you could make the cards we made on Sunday.  Take a look-see at the first one!

I think this is such a cute card – love the idea of using Vellum card stock for the bottles, don’t you?

We started with a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock and stamped the little bubbles image from the Bubble Over stamp set in Bermuda Bay near the top.  I love love love that image – the bubbles are simply perfect!

Then we matted the panel on Peekaboo Peach and wrapped some Peekaboo Peach Baker’s Twine around the panel three times – securing it in the back with scotch tape.

We cut three bottles from Vellum card stock – two of the smaller bottles and one large.  I cut a couple pieces of Bubbles & Fizz DSP with the label die in the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits and adhered them to the bottles with Liquid Glue.  We heat embossed the sentiment from Bubble Over in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Calypso Coral card stock and cut it out with its die, too!  I popped that sentiment over the middle label with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals under the labels and right at the very top of the two smaller bottles and popped them on the card front.

With the dies in the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits, we cut a couple of straws from Whisper White card stock and a few bottle caps from Silver Foil.  I adhered the straws “inside” the large bottle with Liquid Glue – only at the bottom, behind the label.  Then I used more Dimensionals behind the label and on the straws to pop that over the other two bottles.  I adhered the bottle caps to the two smaller bottles and one at the bottom of the large bottle with Liquid Glue.

To finish it off, I tied a double bow from the Peekaboo Peach Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Then I added some of the new Clear Epoxy Shapes from the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes pack (available 3 Jan!) over the bubbles – they really look like bubbles, y’all!  And that was it for the card front.

On in the inside, we stamped two bottles – one in Peekaboo Peach and one in Lemon Lime Twist – on a Whisper White panel.  Then we added some Bermuda Bay bubbles!

We Fast Fuse’d the panel into our Calypso Coral card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensional and the card was done!

The Whisper White Medium Envelope got some Bermuda Bay Bubble Over bubbles up the side on the front…

…and I added some fun paper from the Bubbles & Fizz Sale-A-Bration DSP to the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Amy designed a great card for us with this fun new set….are you writing this one down on your Wish List?!?  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

So – Finn had a pretty good day.  He played and ran and the horseshoer came.  So – he got to eat horse hoof and…well.  Other stuff in horse feet!

He was pretty darned good – even went and laid down (mostly) when I decided he’d eaten enough…”other” stuff!

All the ponies and The Big Guy got mani/pedi’s.

I came back in the house and work/life struck.

And that was what I did the rest of the day. Non-stop.  On the phone all freakin’ day.

Why do I tell you this?

Cuz – I had exactly one real opportunity to take a picture of the Man.

And I didn’t.

Not one new picture.

I’m very very sorry.

Here’s a horseshoeing picture from a year ago – Finn’s first time.

He’s come a long way since that day when he had to be held on a leash the whole time, huh?

Hopefully I’ll do better on the Finn-Fan-Fix Front. 🙁
