Stampin’ Up! Abigail Cottage Rose for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a great sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

For my card today, I used one of the three bundles that will be a focus for the Stampin’ Up! World Card Making Day Event being held on Saturday, 1 Oct.  It’s the gorgeous Cottage Rose stamp set with its bundled Cottage Flowers Dies and then I added some Abigail Rose DSP to set an elegant stage for this birthday card.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our blog sketch.

I started with a piece of beautiful rose-strewn paper from Abigail Rose that I matted on Early Espresso to make the card front.

Next, using the third-from-largest Stitched Rectangle die, I cut out a lined design paper from the pack and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped a few roses from the Cottage Rose set in Early Espresso on a short length of the Natural Finish 7/8″ Ribbon (how cool is that?!) and then adhered the ribbon to the card front with Stampin’ Seal +.

Using the two detailed flower dies in the Cottage Flowers Die set, I cut one of each from Petal Pink cardstock.  I adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Petal Pink cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Cottage Rose in Early Espresso ink.  Then I cut it with the small, narrow Stitched Rectangle Die.

I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the bow, then I added some (five!) Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the single rose from Cottage Rose in Petal Pink in two corners of a Very Vanilla panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the single Cottage Rose in Petal Pink on the front…

…and more of the pretty Abigail Rose DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  What a gorgeous suite this is!  The Abigail Rose DSP is a perfect starting point for a simple birthday sentiment from Cottage Rose with a few sweet Cottage Flowers die cut posies.  And – that Natural Finish 7/8″ Ribbon!!  I love that you can stamp on it to completely customize it for your projects!
