Good morning and happy Monday! Is that an oxymoron for you?! If it is – I am sorry!! 🙂
Today’s card is a Halloween card – I know. I wasn’t going to do more Halloween cards and then I saw the Design a Tag stamp set – coming new in the Sep-Dec 2026 Catalog on 1 Sept. It’s got fun little sentiments – and a super cute witch’s hat and….I had to use it! So I combined it with the Tile Garden die set – also coming new in the new catalog and some Frightfully Fun DSP (available right now!). Take a look-see:
The layout for this card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Frightfully Fun DSP on a Timid Tiger mat for the card front.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a 3/4″ wide strip of the DSP onto the card front – at a diagonal. I added two 1/4″ wide strips of Basic Black cardstock on either side of the strip with Liquid Glue.
Using Detail Scissors, I trimmed the excess from the sides.
Using the smallest of the Tile Garden dies (available 1 Sept) that have the dot-dash edge – I cut out two pieces of the Frightfully Fun DSP. I used the same die to cut out a Very Vanilla square. On the Vanilla square – I stamped a Design a Tag sentiment (coming 1 Sept) in Timid Tiger ink.
I matted all three squares on 1 5/8″ x 1 5/8″ squares of Basic Black cardstock.
Then I adhered the two matted DSP squares with Liquid Glue – and the matted sentiment with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Design a Tag witch’s hat in Gorgeous Grape ink and cut it out with my Detail Scissors. Then I adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.
I added a few bats from the Adhesive-backed Bats, Ghosts and Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Design a Tag sentiment in Timid Tiger on a Very Vanilla panel. Then I added the witch’s hat in Gorgeous Grape and..one little bat!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Gorgeous Grape card base, popped the card base on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Design a Tag witch’s hat on the front…
…and more of the Frightfully Fun DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! See? What choice did I have? I HAD to use that darling little hat – and…it’s only ONE of the cute images in the new Design a Tag set. And there’s a bunch of fun and handy sentiments, too! For Christmas, New Year, Halloween and even Thanksgiving! Of course, the amazing new Tile Garden die set – with nesting square dies – all with interesting edges (like the Spotlight on Nature dies!) – is going to be a workhorse for you and for me! Get these on 1 Sept – and be sure to have some Frightfully Fun DSP on hand, too!

Timid Tiger Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (mat for card front)
Basic Black Cardstock: 1 5/8″ x 1 5/8″ (x3 – mats for die cut squares); 1/4″ wide strips (x2 – on card front – cut to fit)
Very Vanilla Cardstock: smallest dot-dash Tile Garden die (sentiment); 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inner liner)
