Stampin’ UP! Mosaic Tile Garden Sneak Peek Fun Fold Birthday Card

Happy Monday, y’all!  Hope you had a great weekend!  We did a lot of hunkering – either avoiding the heat, the rain or…both!  I am VERY ready for FALL!

Today’s card is another sneak peek from the Sep-Dec 2026 Catalog – which means it’ll all be gettable on 1 Sept for you! Unless you join the team – then you can get it RIGHT NOW!  I used the new Tile Garden bundle – and the beautiful coordinating Mosaic Garden DSP to make an easy fun fold birthday card!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I did a quick video on how to make this card –  which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here

I started with a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Hydrangea Hue cardstock that I folded at 4 1/4″ to make the card base.

I matted a 4″ x 4″ piece of new Mosaic Garden DSP (available 1 Sept) on a 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock.  Then I adhered the matted panel to the front of the card base with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped three stems from the new Tile Garden stamp set (coming 1 Sept) in Pretty Peacock ink.  Then I stamped some of the flowers – in Crisp Cantaloupe and Hydrangea Hue.

Using the next-to-largest ribbed-edge Tile Garden die  I cut out the image.  If you’re familiar with the Spotlight on Nature dies – then you’ll recognize this as a similar die set – just with square dies versus circles!

I struck the brush end of a Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend against an acrylic block to add splatters to the image.  And I stamped the little flower from the Tile Garden set a few times in Crushed Curry ink.

I used the next-to-largest flower-edge die in the Tile Garden set to cut out a Crisp Cantaloupe square.  With Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the white square to the Crisp Cantaloupe mat.

Using Liquid Glue just on the bottom portion of the matted square, I adhered it to the top of the folded card base.  Note:  this is a good spot to use your Crafting Grid Paper! You want to extend the square above the card base so that the whole thing is no taller than 5 1/2″.  Yes, so it’ll fit in a Medium Envelope!

On a 7/8″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Tile Garden sentiment in Hydrangea Hue ink.  I stamped a little Crushed Curry flower and adhered it on a Crisp Cantaloupe mat.

I added the matted sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a Crisp Cantaloupe dot – from the new Glossy Garden Dots (part of the Mosaic Garden Suite and available on 1 Sept!) – a small one to each flower center and a few on the card front itself and…the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped a second Tile Garden Sentiment in Hydrangea Hue ink on a 4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  In the corner, I stamped a stem in Pretty Peacock ink and added the flowers in Crisp Cantaloupe.  A small Crushed Curry flower by the sentiment and some Crisp Cantaloupe Glossy Garden Dots as flower centers finished it off!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crisp Cantaloupe mat and then to the inside of the card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Tile Garden flowers on the front…

…and more of that gorgeous Mosaic Garden DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Mosaic Garden Suite caught my eye right away when I first got to see the catalog – the Tile Garden stamp set is simple and sweet with it’s pretty sentiments and buildable “garden”!  But the DIE set is…amazeballs!  Nesting squares with pretty edges – yes, please!  Then add the stunning Mosaic Garden DSP – with some of our prettiest color combinations – and…we’ve got a real winner!!

2026 BACK TO SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS!

Thirteen states – plus Puerto Rico! – will have Sales Tax Holidays for school supplies in July and August and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states! According to state statutes, “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes” are eligible. And – this includes select Stampin’ Up! products! BOOM!

The states with upcoming tax holidays are:  Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts**, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio**, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Puerto Rico.  So, if you live in one of those states or Puerto Rico, take a second to download the sheet below and mark your calendar!  NOTE: The table on the left shows the states, their dates, and the limit.  The right-hand table shows the SU! Items that qualify! And yes – ALL the Stampin’ Dimensionals qualify!! 😎

**MA & OH Special Note: Unlike the other participating states, Massachusetts and Ohio are not limited to the products listed in this document.                      Additional current Stampin’ Up! products may qualify based on each state’s exemption rules and price limits. (MA limit: $2,500 per item; OH limit: $20 per item.)

How Exemption Limits Work: Sales tax will not be applied to qualifying items priced at or below the exemption limit specified for each state. There is no limit to the quantity of qualifying items that may be purchased, provided each individual item does not exceed the applicable state limit.

Please note:  You have to place your order with Stampin’ Up! DURING the tax holiday period in your state in order to receive these items tax-free (so – that’s from MIDNIGHT local time on the first day to MIDNIGHT local time on the last day of the tax holiday).  Also, keep in mind that this is a STATE SALES TAX holiday and the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

For those wondering about Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey and Wisconsin, those states will NOT have the sales tax holiday this year.  Whaawaaaaa…. 🙁

If you’re in one of the thirteen states or Puerto Rico – happy tax-saving!

Finn Fan Fix

In the mornings, usually, when I feed Cady – I pull her out and set her up on the wall.  Then I groom her – shedding blade (she’s STILL shedding a little – kind of an old horse thing); comb her main and tail, put on her fly spray.  Sometimes trim up her bridle path.  Just sort of loving on her and giving her a litrle “herd” time.  She enjoys the attention!

When we’re done – I give her another peppermint and go to cleaning the stall while she stands quietly.

Well – “quietly” is sometimes more accurate.

Some mornings – she gets “done with it” quicker than I do.

She lets me know when that time comes by tossing her fly mask on the floor.  It usually hang right there on the wall – and she usually doesn’t mess with it!

If I don’t take the hint in her preferred time frame….

She paws it and scrubs it around a little so I’ll  get on with it!

We both know who runs the show!!

To be clear – it’s me.  But…sometimes I let her THINK it’s her! 😉
