Good morning, y’all! Are you having a good weekend? We’ve just been puttering around the place – I think – maybe – we’re going to go find some marigold transplants today. They need to get in the bed with the tomatoes!
Today’s card is a sneak peek at a new Online Exclusive Splash & Relax Bundle – coming on 5 May! I’ve paired it up with some new 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP and Scenic Coast Specialty DSP (both available on 5 May in the new May-Aug 2026 Catalog) to make a great card to send someone for their birthday! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge!
I started by adhering a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe paper from the new 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP to a Blueberry Bushel mat for the card front.
I tore the edges of three strips of Crisp Cantaloupe Two-Toned Cardstock – making sure the torn edge showed on the dark side on one strips and the light side on one strip.
I adhered two strips near the top of the card front – with the dark-side-up strip going down first and then the light-side-up strip on top.
On a slightly wider dark-side-up strip, I stamped the Splash & Relax sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink. Then I adhered it – and then the remaining light-side-up strip to the card front.
Over them, I adhered the 1 3/4″ x 5 1/8″ piece of new Scenic Coastal Specialty DSP with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the full float ring image from Splash & Relax in Granny Apple Green. Then I stamped the darker accent image over it in Granny Apple Green. I also stamped the beach ball image in Balmy Blue ink. Then I cut them both out with the coordinating dies from the set.
I used the remaining Splash & Relax dies to make the following accessories:
– Flip Flops: from the light side of the Crisp Cantaloupe Two-Toned Cardstock – I cut out the Flip-Flop bottoms. I cut the straps from Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock and adhered the straps to the bottoms with Liquid Glue.
– Water Bottle: from Granny Apple Green Two-Toned Cardstock – I cut the lid from the lighter side and the bottle from the dark side. Then I adhered the lid to the bottle with Liquid Glue.
– Sunscreen Bottle: from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock, I cut the bottle. I cut the cap from Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock and adhered the bottle to the lid with Liquid Glue.
– Sunglasses: from Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock I cut the frames. I cut the lenses from Blueberry Bushel cardstock and adhered them to the lenses with Liquid Glue.
– Visor: From the dark side of the Crisp Cantaloupe Two-Toned Cardstock I cut the bottom. From the Crisp Cantaloupe polka dot 2026-2028 In Colors Painted Patterns DSP I cut the visor top and adhered it to the bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I started adhering the accessories to the card front – beginning with the beach ball and water bottle. Then the float ring, the flip-flops and sunscreen.
I tied a little bow from some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.
I adhered the visor over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added the sunglasses with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered some Cloud Cover Sunset Sparkle Sequins (coming on 5 May in the new May-Aug 2026 Catalog) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Splash & Relax in Blueberry Bushel ink on a Basic White panel. Then I stamped the beach ball in Balmy Blue, Crisp Cantaloupe and Granny Apple Green. Finally, I added a few Sunset Sparkle Sequins.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Balmy Blue card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the beach ball in Balmy Blue on the front of the Basic White Medium Envelope…
…and more of the Crisp Cantaloupe 2026-2028 In Colors Painted Patterns DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Splash & Relax bundle – one of the new Online Exclusives releasing on 5 May – is so cute with all the die cuts to make all the little things you’d want to take to the beach! Or…the pool!! Even sunscreen! :). And the Scenic Coast Specialty DSP (coming 5 May in the May-Aug 2026 Catalog) – this is the “b” side (no foiling) – makes a perfect watery splash!
