Stampin’ UP! Peaceful Friendly Foliage Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out the new Friendly Foliage bundle – again! – for today’s card.  This one will be available on 4 Nov as a new Online Exclusive – yeah!  I added some Peaceful Garden DSP – and embossing from the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch! 🙂

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by embossing a Basic White panel in the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder – placing the cardstock on a diagonal inside the folder.  Then I adhered the panel to a Crumb Cake mat for the card front.

Using a single-leaf image from Friendly Foliage, I stamped it all over a strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock in Pretty Peacock ink.  Then I adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

With the second-from-largest Textured Notes die set, I cut out a piece of Cloud Cover Peaceful Garden DSP and adhered it with more Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the big framed foliage image from Friendly Foliage in Pretty Peacock ink.  Using the frame die – and the second die that nests inside – I cut out the image.  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the panel to the card front.

I used the two dies in the set to cut out four Basic White leaves – two of each design.  I tucked them under the corners of the frame – securing them with Liquid Glue.

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Friendly Foliage sentiment in Crumb Cake ink and cut it out with the smallest Textured Notes die.

I adhered it over the bow with Dimensionals (singles on the left side and a double-stack on the right end).  Then I added three Pecan Pie Earthy Matte Dots (available on 4 Nov!!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Crumb Cake ink on a Basic White panel. Across the bottom I stamped the Friendly Foliage border image a few times in Pretty Peacock ink.  Then I added a few Earthy Matte Dots in Lost Lagoon.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Pretty Peacock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Friendly Foliage border across the front…

…and more of the Peaceful Garden DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wow – I do LOVE the new Friendly Foliage bundle – especially this pretty stamped and die cut frame!  I know it’s one you’re going to NEED to have, too – and you can do that on 4 Nov!  Peaceful Garden DSP is one of our prettiest DSPs, too – I really like this Cloud Cover plaid a lot! And the Textured Notes die set is a flat out go-to set – you’ll use it on SO many projects!

I hope you like!
