Stampin’ Up! Traditions of Magic & Hope Christmas Card

Good morning – and Happy Monday! It’s back to the work week and…on the downhill slide to…October!  Wow.  That’s still boggling my brain that it’s already practically Christmas!  Can you believe it?  I’ll be starting the Christmas countdown before you know it!

My card today – speaking of Christmas! – is a clean and simple little number from the Magic & Hope stamp set and some Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP.  Tale a look-see:

The layout is from the week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started with a 3″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP that I cut into 3 – 1″ x 3 1/4″ strips.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the strips to a 3 3/8″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Real Red cardstock.  Tip: it’s easiest to adhere the top and bottom strips first – leaving a normal reveal – and then adhering the middle strip.  🙂Stampin' Up! I set the completed panel onto a Basic White cardstock and used that as a guide to stamp a Magic & Hope sentiment in Secret Sea ink.

I stamped the pine bough from Magic & Hope over the top in stamped-off-once Pool Party ink.  Note: in the video, I tried stamping the bough in full-strength Pool Party – and that looks good, too – so…either way will work! 🙂

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the Basic White panel to a Real Red mat to make the card front.

I adhered the DSP panel to the top of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Cherry Cobbler Traditional Sparkling Sequins and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Magic & Hope pine bough in full-strength Pool Party in the corner of a Basic White panel.  Then I added a Cherry Cobbler Traditional Sparkling Sequins.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Magic & Hope pine bough on the front…

…and more of the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Clean and simple isn’t my normal jam but…the gorgeous Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP really puts some WOW in this simple card front design.  The Magic & Hope stamp set has seasonal sentiments and images that will help you make all the things for Christmas!

NEW TWELVE DAYS OF CRAFTING ADVENT CALENDAR

We won’t spoil the surprise of the products you’ll find in the calendar, but here’s what we can tell you: each day brings an all-occasion, crafting goodie you won’t find anywhere else! Buy a calendar for yourself and gift one to a crafty friend because crafting really is more fun together.

We only have a limited number of calendars in store, so don’t wait – you can pick one (or more!) up right now!

Here’s the deets:

  • 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar (Item #167335)
  • $99 each (there’s about $120 worth of goodies inside!)

  • Available only while supplies last!!

Check out this quick video for some deets – don’t worry – there’s no spoilers to ruin the daily surprises!!

Now – what’s IN each day’s window is a total secret – even I don’t know!  Well, I DID get a little peek at the first two days and…they’re cute and pretty!  But..I’m not telling cuz…opening each day’s little door and seeing the surprise is half the fun!

But…trust me – these gifts are NOT just for Christmas.  While the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar box is themed with Christmas baubles, berries, boughs and bows, the products inside the doors are very much NOT Christmas-themed.  You’ll find goodies you can use for birthday, thank you and thinking-of-you cards you’ll be able to send all year long!

Note: this isn’t a kit – it’s a collection of unique products so….you WILL need a few basic supplies on hand to use them —like the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, scissors, and your go-to adhesive!

Finn Fan Fix

Yesterday, I let Addy out by herself.  She needed to go out and Finn was…sleeping.

About 15 min later, I stepped out to get her back in.

There she was – by the garage – anxiously waiting for me to let her back in.

I called her and…

There she stood.

And stood.

Annnnnnnd stood.

Enjoying the sunny day and…nope.

I kept calling her and, quite obviously, did NOT understood the message…

…so…she made it more clear.

Terriers.  Am I right?!  🤦‍♀️
