Stampin’ UP! Simply Petal Arrangements Sneak Peek Birthday for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

i pulled out a really cool new stamp set – it’s sort of a background stamp but ALSO sort of six SEPARATE stamps!  It’s the Petal Arrangements set – and it’s coming on 3 Sept in the new Sep – Dec 2025 Mini Catalog! Since there’s not a sentiment in the set – I turned it into a birthday card with a couple sentiments from the Simply Said stamp set – available right now!  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our color challenge.

Stampin' UP! Simply Petal Arrangements Sneak Peek Birthday for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop - Stamps-N-Lingers

I started by stamping the Petal Arrangements stamp on a piece of Basic White cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  So…this is six stamps that fit together on a large block – to make a background.  AND – you can then take them apart and stamp the flower images seperately.  Which I did later!

I colored the images with the Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend, the Light Darling Duckling Blend (on sale this month!) and the Light and Dark Fresh Freesia Blends.

I colored the background with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.  Then, I used the Dark Old Olive blend to flick splatters all over the panel.

Then I matted the panel on Basic Black using Liquid Glue.

I popped the card front onto an Old Olive mat using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Simply Said sentiment in Old Olive ink and cut it out with the square die from the Perennial Postage stamp set.  While I had the die out – I cut out a Basic Black square – and cut it into two triangles with my Paper Snips.

I adhered the two Basic Black triangles to the card front with Liquid Glue – leaving a gap between them (to make the mat look bigger).

Using Stampin’ Seal+, I adhered a loop-d-loop of Darling Duckling 3/8″ Faux Linen Ribbon (also on sale this month!).  Then I popped the sentiment over the ribbon with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Darling Duckling 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls (you guessed it – ALSO on sale this month!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Simply Said in Old Olive ink on a Basic White panel.  I separated the individual flowers from the Petal Arrangements set and stamped one in the corner in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored it with the Dark Old Olive Blend and the Light Darling Duckling Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base, adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Petal Arrangements single floral on the front…

…and a different single flower on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – I love background stamps but…I ALSO love individual flower images – how about you!?  Well – the Petal Arrangements set (available on 3 Sept in the new Mini Catalog) gives you the best of BOTH worlds!  The red rubber images are created to fit together perfectly to form a background image – but then separate to make individual flowers.  BOOM!  The Simply Said Mix & Match Stamp set is a GREAT source of sentiments for SO many occasions! And THAT one you can pick up right now if you don’t have it – and while you’re at it – grab the Perennial Postage die set. It is wunnermus!
